I just saw the trailer for this when seeing THe return of the KIng. I thin its gonna be really good {hopefully} since being a big fan of the books. The movies were good and hopefully this movie will be too since there is a new director and dumbledore. What do you schmoes think

I'm just glad Columbus isn't directing again. The trailer seems to have more style than he last films.

But I do get the sense that Richard Harris's Dumbledore will be missed.

yes harris will be missed

but michael gambon is quite the most fantastic actor i have ever seen.....see the original singing detective for the evidence

that said....i am not sure if he will be able to imbue the character with the same warmth as harris

cant wait for azkkeban it was my favourite book

Did anyone listen to the music the kids were singing? I loved that. "Something wicked this way comes" is a great tagline as well.

I've seen the trailer a couple of times, and are the kids that are singing holding frogs? That's what it looks like to me and it looks to me like they are singing. Is that right?

I must admit I'm not a huge fan of this series the first two were just passable entertainment for me, and that was because of the wonderful visuals. Aside from that I was not pulled into the world of Harry Potter, and even Harry felt seperated from that world. However, this is an excellant trailer that has placed Harry Potter on my number two film to see next summer right after Troy. With a new director comes a new look and feel, and this one feels much darker which from what I've read of the books (Chamber of Secrets) is something that is fairly present. Even though danger existed in the first two it seemed like it was just all fun and games for the kids. Yes, you need to attract all ages, but whats wrong with showing kids some darker stuff. Read Grimms Fairy Tales, or look presently at how some kids have taken to Lord of the Rings. Anyway I'm pumped after having seen this trailer.

If you want to talk about the desnsitizing of fairy tales by Hollywood wait til the fifth film comes out.

The execs are going to be in a snit at how sad and dark that book is.
