Hey you guys I finally managed to see BE about a month and a half ago. I ahd always heard stories about how bad this film was but I didnt believe it could beat something like Showgirls. boy was I wrong.

I mean honestly was everyone on pot when they made this film. The directing is completely off the wall and many times very very silly. The script is so idiotic and has many great unintentioanlly funny scenes like the "levearge conversation". And the acting is not only bad but I dont think these people were even on the same set. Over t he top and campy hysterical trash.

Spoilers!!!!!

Here are some of my favorite "What the Hell" moments.

1. Watch for the countless off-balance angles. These are useful camera angles if used SPARINGLY.

2. Make a drinking game of the many times the camera switches filters. Its green, its blue, its green, its blue!!!. Werent the camera operators even paying attention.

3. The pricesless levarage conversation.

4. Teryl is supposedly a genius. So what does he do he teaches Psychlo technology to the enemy! Brilliant.

5. You can learn to fly a jet and create a fully corrdinated attack in no time.

6. Boy that Constitution certianly lasts.

7. Ill show those humans how terryfying I am. Watch as I blast legs off of cows. Whoa!!!!

8. Im Teryl and Im brilliant so obviously those human like raw and skinned rats.

9. By the way Teryl is evil. Did you get it becuase if you didnt well tell you a couple hundred more times.

10. Theres even a always funny "Noooooooooooooooo" at the end of the film.

This film is hysterical and completely goofy.

"You calling me goofy? I'll eat you!"

I agree. So INSANELY bad, it's hilarious. It's so bad, I wonder if they meant to make it that way...

According to E!'s Biggest Celebrity Oopses, Travolta turned down the Richard Gere part in Chicago to do this movie. D'oh!

The Academy has a letter for you:

Dear Mr/Mrs/Miss chinton:

We appreciate your interest in suggesting a new Award for us. Unfortunately, we're afraid to communicate you that your submission has not been accepted. We already have a vast amount of prizes that serve to no purpose but give more fame and money to respected celebrities that will from that point on be universally envied and hated, and of course give more money to the movies that have already made a shitload of it.

As a matter of fact, we have already denied the same petition to another person before. Twice. It was a person who calls him/herself Damned Martian. He/she sunk us with letters asking for this very prize to be given to a movie called "Cruel Intentions 2". Some months ago, he/she retried this same procedure to ask a movie named "Dangerous Beauty" for our consideration. It's useless to say that we rejected his/her petition, as we are now doing with yours.

With no other purpose,

The Academy of Arts and Science

PS: In the future, we would appreciate that you include money with your letters. Thanks in advance.

Battlefield Earth (10/10)

Few movies have moved me like 'Battlefield Earth' has done. From its fabulous opening scene, to the ending that had my jaw on the floor, something hit me while watching this film: I was witnessing motion picture history. The buzz on this film was huge, but the beautiful feast that was upon me was just beyond what I was expecting. The $100 million was sure put into good use. The most dazzling special effects that have been put onto screen. And breathtaking battle sequences that left me in shock. Reading the book years back, I thought to myself that this would make an excellent film. I had no idea that years later a marvel of brilliance like this would be the end result. The book doesn't even come close to this film. Simply stunning.

John Travolta's performance is one to be remembered in motion picture history. His long 'Noooooo's added to the sheer brilliance that he was. Watching the Oscars, I couldn't believe that someone like Russell Crowe, who was awful in 'Gladiator', won the 'Best Actor' over Travolta. I went into years of crying. His final scene just proves that Travolta grasped the role, and stuck with it. Possibly the best male performance ever.

The story, the effets, the movie! It was all brilliant. This is one of my shorter reviews because there isn't much to say, it's just simply amazing. It's an epic for all, and is possibly the best movie that I've seen in my life. I've now seen the film 75 times, and each time I'm still left in awe. I urge all of you to go out and see this film. You'll all love it. I know it.
