One of those rare actresses that you have a hard time taking your eyes off of whenever she's on screen.

I'd only seen three of her films but she's impressed me tremendously in all three. Sweet & Lowdown (for which she picked up an Oscar nomination), Minority Report and most recently In America.

She was so captivating and beautiful in In America. Everybody should see her performance in this film. She's an incredibly endearing and gifted actress. She's probably not a beauty in the classic sense but I think she's extremely sexy and attractive as hell! :)

Anyone else a fan of this little known but hopefully soon-to-be huge English actress?

*sigh* :)

Star of two of my favourite movies of the year (In America and Morvern Callar), and also of my third favourite movie of all-time (Jesus' Son) gives Sam Morton a huge big yay from me!

A great actress who should be bigger than she is right now. I thought she was the best part of Minority Report. Yay.

She hasn't been in enough films for me to be positive. She seems awfully mediocre to me.

She's kind of alien looking. Looks earn her a Nay from me.

Well, I'm not busy between 1am-3am. But she brings her own cab fare.

Fuck YAY!!!

She's talented, naturally stunning, opinionated, funny, intelligent...and simply fucking captivating. I first saw her in the early-90's, Band Of Gold...and she was special even way back then.

The woman is an absolute breath of fresh air.

I recently saw her on a programme concerning beauty...as in, what defines beauty.

Sam popped down to an old folks home with a camera as she associated beauty with life, experience and humour...and nobody made her laugh like her grandparents. Within mere hours she was line-dancing and playing bingo with a host of new-found friends...the girl herself just radiated warmth and beauty.

Here's a quote from Morton, it's impossible for me to dislike the lady...

"You gotta do stuff that inspires you, otherwise your life's so boring, and you go home and feel a fraud. With scripts that come through the door, as a woman, you go, "Bollocks, bollocks, bollocks, bollocks." As a kid, seeing (Ken Loach's) Kes and then Ladybird, Ladybird changed my life. That sounds wanky, but if you're going to be an actress, to me, I want to be part of a team of people that I don't only respect but I feel are trying to make a difference. If we can just change one person's point-of-view..."

She's a star...simple as.

The woman turned down a $1 million movie deal purely because the producer demanded she wear a skirt to dinner.

"There was an instruction to my manager to wear a skirt. I just said 'fuck off '. I was like 'How dare you say that?' - I probably would have worn a skirt that night but, because I was told to, I was like 'go fuck yourself.' "

Add to that the fact that she wore plastic flip-flop's when meeting the queen (she allegedly left her heel's on the tube) and a Sex Pistols T-shirt to the OSCARS and you've got a girl who does it her own way.

YAY with no hesitation.

Very talent actress with a great amount of appeal and honesty about her. Loved her in Jesus' Son and Minority Report.

She's very talented (loved her in Morvern Callar and Under The Skin), seems like a decent, down to earth person and she's not unattractve eiether.

She is ace. Yet to see In America but she was great in that old ITV series Band Of Gold and excelled in Minority Report so yay.

YAY

Very powerful actress, it sucked how she didn't get an Oscar nomination for "Minority Report".

I'd give her an 8 for acting and a 5 for looks.
Don't quit her day job.
Yay.

A much deserved bump in honor of her Oscar nomination today!
