She's not exactly an eyesore, but the rumored battle between her and Lindsey Lohan sounds like a whole lot of hype. The only thing that leads me to believe there may be any merit to it is her very public parting of ways with Disney.

Beyond her cutsie image, I'm kind of neutral about the whole thing. Her music isn't great, her movies aren't anything of interest to me. She'll outgrow some of her behavior, as well as her movies, music, etc. Until then, she gets the no prize. Not yay, not nay. Just 'eh.

I've really grown sick of seeing her. She's just another of these typical, no-talent, MTV-Generation actresses who appeals to teenie-boppers because of the shitty movies she does. The problem with teen actors and actresses these days is they're always exceedingly preppy, popular "girly-girls." I don't think I've ever seen a teenage actor in movies I'd want to emulate. Young actors and actresses I think should stop doing the whole family-friendly stuff because they're the apropos age. Rarely do I see them in dramatic or realistic roles. And rarely do any of them seem to know anything about movies which paved the way for today's films. Whereas it seems true film buffs will forever wait outside the gates (figuratively speaking).

Anywhoo, that's my rant and it's just my opinion. I guess what I'm trying to say in a roundabout way is......

For some reason it won't let me post the picture, but their is the picture where she is tanned up like Hulk Hogan and has all this hideous make up on that seriously gave me a nightmare. I think it's in a thread somewhere on here. I just don't see the attraction. She has a great body, but something is wrong in her facial reigon. Real quick: I think I saw the picture you're talking about, looked like she smeared her face with bbq' sauce, right? Yeah . . . well, like the things said there, a lot of times it's a case of too much makeup. It ain't plastic, the chick just put on too much makeup that day. Happens a lot.

And I don't think it's far-fetched to expect hilary to fade. Teen stars that are overexposed (such as the case with duff) usually don't fare too well, and I don't think she's much of an actress. The competition will probably crush her. Or not, I dunno. Hollywood's a funny game.

Off topic, but why does every one of these teenage actresses have to be in a band. Aside from Mandy Moore who is a actual musician Duff, Raven, Romano, Lalaine, and I think Lohan said she was in one are all having musical careers. In the 80's you didn't see Molly Ringwald doing that and in the 90's you didn't see Alicia Silvesrstone in a band. It just kind of pisses me off for some reason.

I COMPLETELY agree tank. The first time I saw a hilary duff music video I was a little taken aback. And not just teens: every-fucking-one has a musical career (or at least a band) nowadays. It's not talent; if you're a movie star you might as well get a band. It's like someone just said "Hey, I can act like whatever, so why not act like a musician? Genius!"
And I'm not sure, but I don't think lohan has a band. There was just one in freaky friday (though she did sing her own songs).
