LOTR: ROTK vs. Kill Bill......again

For the ones who have seen both movies, which one did you like better?

For me it's ROTK, I love Kill Bill, but ROTK was simply a breathtaking masterpiece that really did surpass the first two LOTR movies, in my top 100.

had my own opinions about kill billl.....it was excellent but a little too clever for its own good.....as usual i thought tarantino was getting off on how clever he was being.....which was a little off putting

nevertheless it was excellent in parts

rotk on the other hand was for 3/4s a terrific if muddled movie

while the last quarter was excruciatingly horrifyingly awful...and this is all i will ever be able to remember about the movie....all the good stuff was undone

Return of the King, easily. Kill Bill had a good action scene or two, but it's pretty shallow, and with the exception of Tarantino's style (or debatedly, other people's styles), it's basically just like every other revenge flick out there. And I hate the revenge flick genre. Return of the King was just so much more

Although Return of the King is a good movie, it is a disappointing ending to the story that started out so wonderfully with Fellowship of the Ring.

Kill Bill is a pulp masterpiece, a brilliant love story between Quentin Tarantino and Hong Kong film.

Many people have said Kill Bill is all style and no substance and I completely agree. Don't get me wrong it's great entertainment but that's all it is. Kill Bill will easily be surpassed within the next few years, it will be a while before anyone makes a trilogy where all three are excellent with the third one being the best.

I loved Kill Bill but Return of the King was an absolute masterpiece with incredible acting and some of the best action scenes I have ever viewed. Easily the best movie to ever cap off a trilogy.
