Anybody ever watch these guys? They are insane the stuff they can do with the ball. These guys have more talent than whole NBA teams. My favorite is The Professor. That little white boy outplays everybody he goes up against, and he can dribble and assist like no other. This is the kind of basketball I like. NBA has gotten boring, this stuff though, new stuff happens all the time. They remind me a lot of the Harlem Globetrotters with the dribbling and passing and dunking these guys do. The only thing that bothers me about this is you always have an announcer type guy yelling all the time. Just do a regular commentary or even just background music and it'd be fine.

I'm watching some of it right now. Those kids tick me off -- their attitude. Just ain't my bag. As for the tricks they pull...sure a few of him are just plain TERRIFIC, and sure they're slick and spectacular, and yes, I can't do half the ballhandling shit they can. But a) a lot of duders I know know how to do 'em just the same as those guys on TV, and b) that's the kind of spectacular-big-talky-big-attitude-ball-hogging-lemme-do-my-show basketball that pisses me off every time it's displayed as what good basketball is and/or should be. Bullshit. Dave DeBusschere snatching down rebounds and elbowing the other power forward was good basketball.
Rant uttered, I'm outta here. ;)

Sorry, but no. If they did, then NBA teams would sign them. They may have cool things that they con do with the ball, but those moves are useless if teams actually play defense. They are definatly fun to watch (The Prof is my fav too), but they just aren't as good as NBA players. Most aren't as good as decent Division-1 players.
Want proof? Skip to my Lou, AKA Rafer Alston, is widely considered the greatest streetballer ever. He's barely hanging onto a job in the NBA. He's the only legit streetballing star to make the transition. It's a different game, and the streetballers would be in the NBA if they were good enough.

Rafer Alston said on the last episode of the first season of the show that none of these guys have what it takes to make it in the NBA. Most of them either have too much of a chip on their shoulder that the NBA is just screwing them over. The others just dont have the overall fundamentals to compete. They can do the spectacular but no the little things to make it in the NBA.
The show is fun to watch now and then though. My biggest problem is that the nearby CBA team I used to watch frequently took to playing music and stuff like the And One people do and ruined the games for me. I like being to talk hoops with the people around rather than having to yell over the music at the people around me.
