The Garfield trailer looks pretty stupid. The trailers are one of the best parts of going to see a movie, but I hated that one. Funny, I like the comic.

Oh, and the Garfield trailer sucked, too.

Does anyone remember The Holes trailer that tried to pass it off as a horror movie? It mimicked The Ring.

I busted out laughing when i saw it, it was so absurd.

The trailer for Swimfan was stupid. Putting aside for a moment the fact that the film itself was another lousy Play Misty for Me -wannabe, the trailer showed basically ALL the major scenes. Heck, the film itself may as well be called Swimfan: The Trailer-The Director's Cut.

Most definately. I was so against the re-make until I saw that kick ass trailer.

My picks:

The Mask 2 - Never in my life have I heard a theatre grown in such unison.

Steal - As soon as I saw it was about theif rollerbladers I aboslutely lost it.

I, Robot - Two ways to make people not care about a movie that actually is a serious movie:

a)Play it right after the commercials in the theatre so everyone mistakes it for a commercial.

b)Play cheesy music that makes it look a cheesy kids movie about a cute robot.

The Limey

it look a cheesy kids movie about a cute robot.

Maybe that's because it will be cheesy, it's starring Will Smith for shits sakes.

Thats as bad as Mark Wahlberg staring in the Planet of the Apes remake or Paul Walker in Michael Crichton's Timeline. Next they'll cast Vin Deisel in an Einstein biography.

These dumbfuck studio asshats are going to have to start realizing that nobody is going to take these "serious" movies seriously if they keep casting these complete fuck head actors.

There are certain actors that are suited to certain films and certain films only. The Paul Walkers of the acting community may do fine in low brow flicks like Fast in the Furious where his jackass california surfer accent will do him credit but put him in a serious role especially a role that comes from serious intellectually-aimed literature and he will immediatly fuck it up just by being there.

The sad thing is Will Smith was actually a pretty good actor back when he was doing Fresh Prince and Six Degrees of Seperation. Like many actors he's fallen into the trap of starting to believe his own hype.

I just can't stand when they adapt a movie from some classic piece of literature or film and then cast the biggest fucking moron with the biggest fucking moronic persona they can find, completely ruining the film before it even has a chance.

Anyway I really hate previews that show the ending of the movie or key parts or the best parts. I saw a television preview for Final Destination the other day and they showed that blonde getting hit by the bus, which was probably the best scene in the movie at least the biggest surprise.

-ROTK Trailers were pretty shitty.

-Out of Time Trailer was pretty dumb but that could have been because the movie sucked as well.

-The original Fox produced Alien 3 Trailer is now famous for being probably the worst fuck up in movie trailer history, since it purposefully advertised an action film when the movie was actually Suspense Drama. Most people don't remember it but the majority of the bad reviews for that movie probably stemmed from the fact that people went in thinking they were seeing an action film in the vein of Aliens and got something that was the exact opposite.

Then cue a talking zombie who says something before licking a woman. Black out before the lick, and create a cartoonish slurping sound to create the worst trailer ever.*

Finally, someone who was equally annoyed at that terrible goddamn line. I'm glad I'm not the only one. Unfortunately, the war's not over yet. Every TV ad and PPV commercial I've seen for it uses that line like it was the Holy Grail of comedy

Yeah, it's sad that they can't find a better line in the entire movie than that one to constantly use over and over and over...
