SPOILER ALERT!

I've got to admit, I teared up the first time I saw NOES3, when Nancy died. I've only teared up, though. Never cried. Just been freaked out sometimes. :)

No horror movie, has made me cry, although some have gotten me a little choked up(The end of season 5 on BTVS). There are some however(Mangler 2, Teenage Caveman, and House Of The Dead to name a few), that have made me cry that I spent time and/or $$$ to watch them.

Um...Cry? No. Sad? Shocked? Yes. Its kind of like "Holy Shit. I didnt expect that!" I don't know how else to explain it. A few moments for me would be in such movies as Red Dragon, Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead, and Tales from the Darkside. I'm sure there are others, but I dont wanna look like a complete sobbing bitch so I'll stop here. ;)

It didn't make me cry, but I can't say I was a little choked up at the end of MAY. Very effective scene.

Not crying but emotional:

I was sorry for Wade Withhouse ( Nick Nolte ) in Affliction.
I was sorry for the dog in The Fly 2
I was sorry for Katryn (??) Spages in Alice Sweet Alice, in 3 days she loses her daughter and her former husband.
I was sorry for ... us in BodySnatchers
Near Dark with the Homer's death and when May talks about their conditions.
The Hitcher is very emotional and full of atmosphere, I was sorry for Jim Halsey and Nash ( this film is terrific 10/10, a masterpiece )
I was sorry for the pianist friend of David Hemmings in Deep Red.

I do not think I have ever cried. I have felt sad or shocked especially when the film made you care about it's characters. I have felt great sadness if I am watching someone's last film work because they have died and they cannot ever create again.

When Sacreties is killed I damn near went into a crying spree even when I know the little bastered was going to die sometime in the movie! That scene just hit me...

END OF SPOILERS

Other movies that were a little gut wrenching was:
*Ending to Ginger Snaps even though I knew it was coming but that damn sad music gets to you!
*Ending to Alien 3! Damn that one always gives me butterflies, such a wonderful ending!
*Not horror but almost the whole movie of REQUIEM FOR A DREAM had me a little depressed!

***SPOILERS***

Please don't laugh but DEADLY FRIEND did make me cry when I saw that as a kid. The scene in the shed nearing the end where Samantha returns to her former self for a split second, she looks into Pauls eyes they then embrace each other, the music really sets you up a treat. Also the scene where she shouts Pauls name in HER voice, just for a second you think she's returning to normal
but oh no she has to run at that copper!!

Not a great film I agree, but it has a heart none the less.
If the studio had butted out it would have been one of Craven's classic's. Incidentaly I've just finished reading the book FRIEND by Diana Henstal, an excellent tear jerker of a read.

So far, Ginger Snap's ending has made me cry every damn time. At the time of my first viewing I was going through some personal crap and I saw the ending to that said movie, I was blown away by the art of it all and how it was displayed was one of the reasons that made me go tearing, the other was like I said personal crap.

Every time it gets me...every time.

I cried (more like cursed) when I heard about TCM 5 (I refuse to call it a "remake").

I personally dropped a couple of tears the first time I saw Day of the dead where poor Bub found his best friend dead. Man Howard Sherman is a great actor for pulling that off!

If it counts as horror, Requiem For A Dream did it for me (wouldn't have done so without that fantastic music, however).

If it doesn't I felt bad for the wee boy in Pet Sematary (you know, the "no fair" bit). Even if he was a fucking killer.

Bloody Murder also made me cry, but in a different way.

I cry at that part to. And After I watch the movie a few times, any time theres a cute father-son moment I start to get a little damp in the eyes, just knowing whats going to happen later.

Well, I didn't cry, but the traumatized girl of the TCM remake made me really depressed...I felt so bad for her. She reminded me of me when i was 9 and I had a sinus infection and I couldn't stop crying and I felt like I was going insane. I felt really really bad for her.:(

I get choked-up by May, Ginger Snaps, Videodrome, Dead Ringers, the ending of Alien 3 (particularly version in the Special Edition). And, yes, dammit, that shamelessly emotionally manipulative scene with the dog in The Fly 2 puts a lump in my throat.

Never cried during a horror that I know of. But I know a ton of dramas and a few comedies have gotten me. There's probably a few horrors that got me, just can't think of any because it hasn't been recent.

horror movies that made me cry..or almost cry-

The end of "May"

The end of "Donnie Darko"

Socrates in "Willard"

"The Crow"

Christian Bale's impeccable performance in "Equilibrium"

M. Night Shyamalan apologizes to Mel Gibson in "Signs"

Giovanni Ribisi pool scene in "The Gift"

Nicole Kidman's explanation at the end of "The Others"

Mine are pretty concurrent with the rest of the posters: The Crow, Willard, The Others, Ginger Snaps, Donnie Darko, even NOES3...

28 Days Later was pretty emotionally affecting, particularly Jim's return to his parents' home, and the opening in the after-end London. The desolation and Jim's completely vulnerable state truly convey the premise, and left me feeling much the same way as the dinner table scene in "Signs". The irrepressable finality of the end of the world is ever-present, and it's obvious that there's nothing left to do but stick with the people around you, even if that means complete strangers. I don't know why, but that scenario always got to me.

Alright, so I'm a smeggin' nancy-boy. And even worse, an emokid.

I usually don't cry during horror movies. There are however 2 that I can remember balling my eyes out. The end of The Crow and the end of Donnie Darko. How fuckin' sad where they?!

Then again I don't really consider those movies "horror" as they are not really scarey or bloody or anything.

I teared up in my left eye during The Ring, but I had a good reason. I've mentioned this before, but i'll refresh everyones memory. I was with my at the time girlfriend, and she wanted to go see some other movie, but I had all ready seen The Ring and wanted to see it again, so I pretty much forced her to go see it. She hates scary movies, and was clinging to me from the moment the movie started. Then, after a very scary moment (when they show the girls face in the closet), she threw herself off of me and leaned over the other way in her seat. When I grabbed her to pull her back to me, she slapped me. Hard. It made my left eye start watering really bad. Right after she slapped me she kissed me and apologized, but she was mad the rest of the night that I took her to a movie that scared her so much.

ending of Donnie Darko

set me off into a weird depressed/reflective mood for about a week in which i almost broke up with my girlfriend cause of how fucked up that movie got me, but it's still great

The Crow endings have always gotten me really sad.

I only cry when I realise how much the movie I was watching sucked because I wasted 90 minutes watching it.

Me too. That was so shocking, I couldn't believe she died. I thought she was going to live. Unfortunately, I couldn't just tear up, I ended up crying like a baby.

Requiem for a Dream - though I dont know if thats exactly horror. That scene where Jim goes to visit his ma, and shes talking about how lonely she is and then Jim tells her he bought her a new big screen tv. And then the scene at the end where all these bad things start happening to these kids...basically they are nice people who got mixed with the wrong crowd.

Donnie Darkos - "I dont want to die alone" scene.
