I was remembering about great acting performances of actors and actress.
In this films the two main characters simply make the film work.

Two examples:

* Robert de Niro and Al Pacino in 'Heat'.

* Harrison Ford and Sean Connery in 'Indiana Jones and the Last Cruzade'.

Do you have in mind any other great duo???

John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd in Blues Brothers (thats just a personal opinion - everyone will object)

Mike Myers and Dana Carvey - Waynes World (sorry I'm stuck in a comedy rut!)

Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon (Some Like It Hot)

Richard E Grant and Paul McGann (Withnail & I)

Laurel and Hardy (Most of their stuff, but i'll say Way Out West)

Oh wait, great acting? Hmmm

Morgan Freemon and Brad Pitt (Seven)

Ed Norton and Brad Pitt (Fight Club, let's start the controversy!)

Duoesque (Good Vs Evil) Louise Fletcher and Jack Nicholson (One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest)

George Clooney and Jennifer Lopez (Out Of Sight)

No doubt they'll get ridiculed but worth a try.

I don't this this is, or ever will be, a better acting duo than Paul Newman and Robert Redford.
