You know what's funny is one of the weird neighbors is Courtney Gains, who played Malachi in Children of the Corn.

The Burbs is a funny movie. I especially like the part where the neighbors discover this bone and there's this crazy zoom in zoom out thing that the camera does.

Yeah it`s a pretty decent movie. Good cast.
Though it always seemed to me like Joe Dante & co. couldn`t think of a good way to end it.
And a good score by Jerry Goldsmith too.

Yup, its the same guy. Love the flick. Was done by Joe Dante who did Pirana, the Howling, and Gremlins. The part that gets me every time is when they are all sitting down and Uncle Ruben is just clockin' at Tom Hanks and not taking his eyes off of him. Art is the man.

Could someone tell me how this movie ends? I've only seen it once and as it was on really late, I fell asleep before the finale.

SPOILERS!!!!!!!!
Tom Hanks blows a gas line digging in the Klopeks basement looking for proof that they infact do kill people. When the gas line blows the whole house explodes! It makes Tom Hanks and Art seem like a pair of idiots. But heres the kicker....The Klopeks end up being real killers, they killed the previous family to movie into that house. And the cops end up finding the dead families skeletons on the trunk of the Klopeks car.
But you need to see it to fully appreciate its level of funnines. Its one of my all time favorite comedies.

I watch at least once every year.
Its kind of like Casablanca, every line is a quote that anyone else who has seen the movie, would recognize.
"I called the Pizza Dude!"
"QUEENIE!!"
"If that dog takes one more crap on my lawn, I'm going to staple his ass shut!!"
I especially love the story that Art tells, about the soda fountain guy that snapped and axed his family.
This is a classic movie, it has to be on my Top 5 list of Cult '80s movies; right next to The Lost Boys.
Its also a little brain teaser, because the weirdest shit does happen in tiny cul-de-sac neighborhoods in the suburbs.
