If I made a Batman movie......
I would not let Batman have a love interest.
Batman would be to busy kicking ass, then going out on dates.

That would all be horrible!
Nothing on that list should be in a batman movie!

My Batman movie would be rated R with lots of groovy violence.
The villain would be the Joker and he would be a total murderous psycho.
Batman would get FUCKED UP a few times.

For the last time........NO BAT GIRL!
I wouldn't use Batgirl, for one. Nor would I use Robin. Why these characters were introduced in the first place, I have no idea. Batman gets along just fine without a sidekick. I just don't understand why he needs them...it goes against his character.
Anyway, back to my movie.
I wouldn't do an "origin" movie...which seems to be very popular amongst comic films. Every movie is about "how they became the hero." instead of picking up on a new story with Peter Parker already as Spiderman or Bruce as Batman, etc. I would make it without a sequel in mind. It'd be about Bruce in his earlier years, but not TOO early. We've already established that Batman is Bruce Wayne and the police recognize him and he's already established enemies and the like.
I would get on my knees in a 3,000 dollar suit in a puddle of mud, begging Danny Elfman to use his score. (Let's face it, it was perfect.)
Would I direct it? Sure. I have a pretty good vision for how I'd want Batman to look on screen. But if I were told to choose a director other than me, I would probably choose Alex Proyas.
Villain? I'd go with Orson Welles' idea. I'd do a whole group of villains. The Joker, Riddler, Two-Face, Penguin, Catwoman. I'd have a lot of fun with that, actually. Especially if I was writing it.
I'd also do a mix score. Meaning I'd use Danny Elfman's score, but I would also feature songs from popular artists and such.
My Batman Soundtrack:
The Cure
O Negative
KoRn
Filter
Bush
Marilyn Manson
Nine Inch Nails
(I'm trying to keep it dark here, folks.)
I feel like this soundtrack would redeem the others...I mean c'mon...Prince? U2? Brandy? Jewel?! Seal?! Jewel?! Brandy?! PRINCE?! Bah.
For choreography, I would probably mix a lot of styles, focus more on Judo as well. No wire suspension, damnit. I'd only use it when necessary, and not during fights...unless Batman is doing a wicked awesome mid-air summersault and there's no way possible that the actor or stuntman can pull it off.
I'd make the costume as simple as possible. No black rubber. If you look at the comics, it's very thin and very simple. His mask can be folded up and can fit into a wallet. I'd go with the original bat symbol on his shirt and such...sort of like in Batman: Dead End.
I don't know if I'd want to mention my ideas for casting on this board, since a lot of people here seem to be purist. And I don't want to turn this into another casting debate. So I'll move on.
I'd stick to just the batmobile. I don't like the idea of other bat-vehicles, because it just gets too gimmicky. The batmobile, I would make it look scary. Like you wouldn't really see the outside too much. And it'd have sort of this silent purring when it drives by. The only part of the car where you'd see a lot of detail would be the interior, and the engine. And maybe the tires.
That's all I can think of right now. Peace.

Good soundtrack.
-> Including some techno for a couple of club scenes (and drugs included, perhaps young Nightwing getting high)
-> Some Fuel for the hardcore fight scenes, or whatever
Good score.
-> Either Thomas Newman
-> Either Yoko Kanno, for her extraordinary work In Jin-Roh, dark and devilish music, brilliant.
Be insupired by the animted series' mansion, above a cliff, nice mansion this time, on a cliff like I said.
-> Explore the batcave through un underwater passage for the batboat (or wtv it's called)
Nice Batcave.
-> The famous Joker Card hanging
-> Throw in the batsuits including Nightwing's, Batsy's, Robin's, all of them
-> The Grey Phanthom's suit
-> Mr. Freezes Gun
-> Two Face's giant coin
Badguys.
-> I would've liked to use Two Face but not in the Batman Forever style, the red face, his second half would actually be burnt, and he would wear a normal suit.
-> The Man Bat perhaps, some logical connection with Two Face, the human guy behind the Man Bat (dunno his name) didn't pay Dent what he had to and an accident Darkman style followed him.
-> Mr. Freeze, cool costume, not stupid Terminator playing him, and giving him a role a little like in the animated series.
Cast.
Batman -> Christian Bale
Nightwing -> Wes Bentley
Alfred -> Kevin Conroy (tribute to Batman's animated series original voice actor)
Two Face -> Bruce Greenwood
Man Bat -> Gerard Butler
Mr Freeze -> Robert Downey Jr. (like on the NBK cover)
Director -> Me
Batman's costume.
-> Perhaps make it in the Spider-Man suit style way, give it a more agil and flexible look, no plastic shit this time.
-> Give him a pretty normal mask, not plastic.
-> Big black logo, no yellow circle around it, do it the Batman: Mystery Of The Batwoman style.
Nightwing's costume.
-> A more technologique suit, half spidey style half with plastix things like around arms and shit.
-> Plastic around arms, opens up and cpu revealed inside
-> Metalic wings attached to his back that open up with his arms when he wants and blend in pretty nicley when not in use.
-> Black suit overall, big dark blue logo covering all the chest.

I'd make my Batman very, very dark and violent. Joker would be the villain and Batmans love interest would be murdered by Joker in the first 20 minutes of the movie.....

I think Bridget Moynahan(sp?) should be Christian Bale's love interest in the upcoming movie. She's too hot for words.

If I made a Batman movie, it would be based on teh Nightfall series. Kilmer or Clooney as Batman, the wrestler Vader as Bane, and bring back Michael Keaton to play Azrael.
I would not use Robin.
For God's sake it's a bit hard being The DARK Knight, with a guy standing next to you wearing green, red and yellow

It should be Rated R. Should show people using drugs. Thats the reality of the world.

People using drugs make movies more realistic?
While we're at it let's throw in some pedophilia and incestry. That happens in the real world. :rolleyes:

If I were to make a Batman movie i'd cast Edward Norton as Batman/Bruce Wayne... I'd get Trent Reznor,Radiohead, and The Crystal Method to do the score....Id use state of the art visual effects. I'd have Robert Richardson as my DP, and i'd have KNB do make-up. Plus invent over the top shots. Make it a heavy R rated movie for extreme violence and gore.
