I was 11, just becoming a female (if you get my inference) and completely enamored of him in the commercials. I had seen other Nicholson movies, but there was something about his Torrence character...maybe the eyes...maybe the smile...maybe the insanity. I would actually audiotape the commercials as a kid and listen to them over and over....
