Why didn't Kane Hodder play Jason? I was really look forward to seeing England vs Hodder.

Different theories. One due to size, and Arrow's, which makes a lot of sense -- Canadian tax credits for hiring a Canadian stuntman.

Beyond that, Hodder wasn't the first Jason, nor was he in my opinion close to the best.

It was said that that the director of the movie was looking for a more emotional jason. One that could show more feeling or something like that. Kane Hodder is still the man, but thats what I read.

Another source said that Ronny Yu wanted a bigger Jason because of what he saw in one of the storyboards or something like that. Hodder was missed (by me anyways) but Kirzinger is a worthy replacement.

I have you disagree with you there, I though Hodder portrayed the best Jason - he was so much more menacing.

I read somewhere (I think it was IMDB) that Ronny Yu turned Hodder down as he wanted Jason to be the same proportions as Englund.
