I think there is only one DVD out with a few episodes but it is Region 1. Wouldn't it be cool if they put out a boxset with some extras?

Correction, the DVD that's out has three episodes and is region 2.
Aye, a boxset would be good though.

I'm still waiting for the second Volume to hit shelves over here, it was set to come out around August or Septmember last year but obviously it never came. I still watch the first volume though, pretty good and imaginative(sp?).
A box-set would be cool, not a bad idea.

I never saw the series, but is Freddy like when he cracked jokes?
If he was, does the series have him doing a bit before and after each ep like Seinfeld? lol. I kno that he proably doesnt but hey, its funny to think of.

Do you even have to ask? Of course I would like a FREDDY'S NIGHTMARES box set. There was only two seasons. Forty some episodes I believe so they could easily release it in two sets. I doubt theres high demand for it though. I still remember watching that show when I was five years old. One episode creeped me out I remember. It would be funny to see how it holds up now. Cheesy I'm sure. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

I've always been curious about this!
Ever since I saw Freddy's Dead on VHS and they play that trailor during the credits for Freddy's Nightmares I have been super curious!
Yes, they need to release a box set.

I don't think it's coming, my friend. :(
Warner Bros own the rights to Freddy's Nightmares, and released the first disc almost completely silently, with no publicity at all and without sending any copies to magazines for review. Therefore, pretty much nobody knew anything about it.
So I have the feeling Warner Bros has cancelled the second disc because of "lack of sales", even though it's their own fault.
Maybe when Freddy Vs Jason comes out here on DVD, there'll be a display at HMV selling Freddy Vs Jason along with other related items (like they did with Bo Selecta... they had a stand with the DVDs, the Christmas single, the calender, the t-shirts etc) and maybe Freddy's Nightmares will be on these stands and maybe then sales will go up, and then maybe they'll bring out the second volume.
But that's enough maybe's to sink a boat, my friend.

Maybe a LITTLE off topic, but...
I can see where these shows might have been somewhat entertaining, but when I first heard years ago that they were going to make it a series, I was excited. Then when I realized that the show was only going to be "hosted" by Freddy, having nothing at all to do WITH him, I was a little disappointed. Only the first episode, and I think a Halloween episode had anything at all to do with Freddy or the Nightmare concept. Otherwise, it was just Tales from the Crypt, but with a different host.

I agree, Freddy's Nightmares should definitley be on DVD.
I think you can get them on VHS, though.

I bought the pilot, No More Mr. Nice Guy on VHS a long time ago, but just watched it recently after getting hooked on the Freddy vs Jason DVD.
It was cool, very soapy, but interesting and Robert Englund was great as usual. Often I felt the so-bad it's good vibe, although the few dream sequences they had were cool.
I'd love a box set, the more Freddy, the merrier.

I for one would love to see a Freddy's Nightmares DVD. I used to love watching all the old episodes when they were on. With the popularity of Freddy Vs. Jason, maybe they'll finally release this. I can only hope. :)

There were a handful of episodes that dealt specifically with the Elm Street mythos. I don't know the exact number, but there were definitely more than two. The pilot was pretty cool, although I was put off by the cheap (and I mean cheap) visuals.

I'd love to see this series on DVD. Fond memories of watching this late at night. The only one I really remember is the one with Tony Dow (Leave it to Beaver)
I'd love to see Friday the 13th TV series on DVD as well. Roby was hot!
