A precursor to Scream with a few inventive ideas, but it's saddled with a convoluted plot that constantly beclouds itself. Flashbacks, dream sequences, two or three twist endings, and a periphrastic "movie within a movie" plot. The pace stops, starts, stops, and starts again just in time for a character to break out of character. What in the hell did I just type, or does it even matter? What should have been a fun, blunt slasher turns into a snarled mess with sparse death sequences, blurry character motives, and amusing lines gone to waste ("I'm gonna star in some of those pussy films!"). Check out Evil Laugh instead, another self-referential '80s slasher that doesn't try too hard to be clever. It actually entertains!

Is the acting good? Nah. Dialogue well written? Noop. Well Directed? Sorta. Makes sense? Hell no. Somewhat entertaining? YES.

It amused me for 90 minutes, which was more than I expected. Fun, cheesy kills in a fun, cheesy nonsensical slasher popcorn flick.

Harmless goof of a film, well worth a few bucks when included with Return of the Killer Tomatos in that crazy Anchor Bay double feature Dvd . Need to pick that up sometime... :cool:

I own it and if you watch it with an open mind you will see it is a pretty funny slasher movie.
The producer and the director are hilarious.
The ending works well because ... well you know why.

Yeah, I dug the splatter-starved producer. This flick works as a comedy, but as a slasher, it's contemptible. The kills are few and far between, the script is beyond knotty, and it's just a wayward mess in general.

The director in the film thinks is directing a piece of art, he's so into it, hilarious and again the producer is fun as hell !! "We need tities and blood ! "
