PERRY COMMITS CELEBRITY SIN

"Friends" star Matthew Perry committed the ultimate celebrity sin at a film premiere recently -- asking bouncers if they knew who he was.

The actor and seven pals were running late for a screening of "The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King" in Los Angeles and weren't amused when security turned them away.

Matthew stormed, "Look, I'm Matthew Perry and I was invited."

However the guard was under strict instruction to refuse entry to late admissions and replied, "I'm sorry, but you're free to come back for the after-party."

Angry Matthew and his friends were forced to look elsewhere for their evening entertainment.

If he was invited and then wasnt' allowed in cause he was running late, that isn't too bad. It's when the celebs try to cut in front of other s in a restaurant line with "do you know who I am" that ticks me off. This seems pretty understandable (spoken by someone who often runs late!)

If I were the bouncer I would have said 'sorry I can't let you in cuz you're late' and then he'd say do you know who i am blah blah, and then I'd sayd "HAHA just kidding you're being punked! Go on in!" and then when he went to go in I would have said 'nah, actually you can't goin in, I was just messing with you about the punked thing' and then when he punched me in the face I'd sue him for a million dollars... ;) j/k

I don't know about this. The article only quotes Perry as saying his name and saying he was invited, not slashing out "Look, do you know who I am?". And there's a great deal of difference there. When I go to a party late and people won't let me in, I tell 'em "Look, I'm Logan, I was invited, check the list" -- doesn't mean I think I'm a hot shot. Which I do. But it's a whole different issue.
