Back To The Future 1, 2 or 3?

I have often had this conversation amongst my mates, and i have heard them say very often that they prefer the second Back To The Future more than the other two.
This i can't quite understand as i thought it was the poorest out of the trilogy.
As my opinion goes
BTTF 1 - is the best
BTTF 3 - second best
BTTF 2 - third best

I really think the first one is the best. Altho I really do have a hard time making up my mind because of the one justified reason as to why many people liked the second one best... it has hover boards in it!!!

What are your guys views?

My favorite is the second one, but the first one is the best. Back to the Future 3 is my least favorite, although i still like it.

The second one is the most intricate involviing plot and story but the most insanely fun in 3 and the first one is an all time classic.

I have watched part 1 and 3 at least 50 to 60 times each.Part 2 I have watched maybe 4 times

Herculeez, in case you were referring to me as one of those who thinks the second is the best i'd like to clarify things; i have often made the point in these conversations that the second one is usually considered the worst i did not think it was that bad at all. my favourite is probably the first but i love all of them. however i definitely would not say that the second one is a bad film..... if that makes sense!

Dont know how anyone can think that Part III, was better than Part II!
The third was is still class, i just prefer the 2nd to it.

Out of the three, the second one has the most most imaginitive plot and, as herculeez mentioned, it introduced the totallt tubular (and bodacious) hoverboard. 2 is by far the best of the three, with 1 trailing in second, and 3 just plain sucking.

I'm with you herc; the first was the best, followed by three then two.

The second one had a neat plot, but because it was so complex the characters sort of got lost. Good movie though, although it's always seemed like a transitional side-plot between I and III for me.

I actually liked 2 the most (I'm surprised there are other's that liked 2 the most to, I thought I was one of the few )then 1,then 3.....I could take or leave the last one, but the first 2 are classics...

I love all three of them equally. The first and second were the best as far as plot, but they were all incredible and unique in their own way. I love the way the same situations keep reappearing and all of the other originality that exists in these films. They are some of the funniest, most entertaining, fun, films ever made.

They all get a 10/10 from me.


Certainly top 10 of all-time IMO.

I love them all, but if I had to choose it'd be 1 or 2.. i didnt care much for 3 it was a good closure to a excellent trilogy, one of the greatest trilogies in my eyes.:D
