I just got the rated version of the Swimming Pool (with Charlotte Rampling and Ludivine Sagnier) DVD before I realized there was an unrated version. I haven't taken it out of the shrink-wrap yet, so I can return it. How different is the unrated version? Is it worth it to take this one back and get the unrated one instead?

I'd suggest taking it back and getting a different movie entirely. In my opinion, this was one god-awful flick that tried to be smart but just ended up insulting me with how utterly ridiculous it really was. Fucking bullshit movie.

But if you like it you might as well get the unrated one, the nudity was the films only saving grace :D

lol

Well, I actually enjoyed the movie very much. But if the unrated version isn't all that different from the rated one then I'm not going to bother exchanging them...

I'd just take it back and get the UNRATED one anyway. Even if there's not much different in it, I always feel like I have a lesser version if it's the RATED version of a movie that has an UNRATED one. Hey, for the same price, you can have the UNRATED one, so even if there's not much difference, do it anyway so you can at least have the ultimate version of it ;).

I would take it back in a second. I am a total freek when it comes to this.

I bought the American Psycho rated last year by accident. Got up, drove a couple miles back to the store, watied an hour in the return line. Filled out a couple forms. Went and got the Unrated one and left. 2 hours of extra work all because i picked up the wrong one. And the only difference was that the Unrated had 3 more seconds of footage :)

why did you think it was bullshit? I kind-of liked it, but being the retard that I am sometimes, I don't really get the ending, can someone explain it to me?
