Syngenor is notable for starring David Gale in one of his last performances. Most likely, that's the only reason why it was just issued on an inexplicably packed DVD. It's an unofficial sequel to 1982's Scared to Death, which was helmed by William Malone of Feardotcom "fame." It's not good per se, but it regaled me for 90 minutes. The pace is agile, the acting is mostly competent, and the creature suits are what b-movie dreams are made of. Don't be fooled by the detailed dastard on the cover. David Gale is fun to watch as a quirky, fatuous corporate autocrat. He's completely out of his skull, and provides the bulk of Syngenor's entertainment value. Oh, and that's SYNthesized GENetic ORganism for those playing at home, an unstoppable killing machine that is to be used during warfare. How unstoppable? It can be bumped off with...bullets.
