I just saw Gone in 60 Seconds and it's a pretty fun movie. I really don't see why the critics didn't like it. If you want to read my review, go to www.geocities.com/dani_koev/60_seconds.html (http://www.geocities.com/dani_koev/60_seconds.html)
And before you say my review sucks, please consider I'm 14 and I have a C- in English.

Thanks for the advice homer. I have always been a fan of Bruckheimer films. Don't rant on me for it. His films just fit my attiude a lot.

I CAN SEE WHY THE CRITICS DIDN;T PARTICULARY LIKE IT. I THOUGHT IT WAS PRETTY BORING, AND HIGHLY UNLIKELY. I LIKED ALL THE STEALING SCENES, HOWEVER, THE OTHER SCENES WHICH WERE ONLY TALKING, I DIDNOT LIKE. I THOUGHT THEY WERE BORING. I HAVE TO GIVE IT CREDIT THOUGH BECASUE I REALLY LIKE JERRY B'S FILMS.

I didn't find it boring at all. I liked the dialouge and there were some funny jokes.

Oh well... I guess IŽll have to wait a couple of months again. I live in Finland, where we are "a bit" after with the movies...
Glad to hear that a Bruckheimer fan liked the movie! HeŽs actionfilms are really good stuff (The Rock, ConAir). AND with Nic Cage the movie cannot suck.

I found Gone in 60 Seconds to be excellent! I rate it a 4 out of 5 - worth watching in theatres at full price! (P.S. Make sure you go to a theatre with a good sound system. You really do need good sound to appreciate the deep throated rumble of the speeding cars!) It's interesting to note that I am not a fan of Cage. His manerisms are almost the same in all his movies. Much like Keanu's "Whoa!" /ubb/smile.gif However, I was able to get past his acting style in this movie, as the plot, supporting cast, and action carried it through. I especially liked the sub-theme of old school versus the new generation. And I definitely can't complain about the other stars, some of the finest precision automobiles known to man! Oh, and Angelina Jolie was good too, looking ever so sexy! I've got a review up at my site, as well as an Angelina Jolie mini-section. Check it out at: http://www.moviegurus.com

Are you all 14? If so, I can understand why you all like this.
Homer, I hope that one day you'll mature enough to be able to appreciate ALL of the humor in the Simpsons.

You know, csmoose, there's something about your comment that really makes me wanna KICK YOUR ASS! For your information I get EVERY joke on the Simpsons. Otherwise I wouldn't be a huge Simpsons fan.
It's messed-up ASSHOLES like you that make me think maybe I shouldn't mention my age on this chat.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Believe it or not, some critics liked Gone is 60 Seconds. So what you're basically saying is that those critics have the intelect of a 14-year-old??? I don't think so.
So, pipe down Junior!

Allright, dudes and dudettes, let's keep the name-calling to a minimum here, the board is filled with people from 10 to 60 years old, so differences of opinion WILL always be present...
My 2 cents on the movie will probably make the show tomorrow nite, as I will be checking it out Friday afternoon....until then....play nice.... /ubb/smile.gif

OK JoBlo, I guess I shouldn't have said all that but what that dude said was also really immature. I'm a little cranky right now cause I just spent one hour at the dentist wich was probably the worst one hour of my life.

Ok, let me formally apologize.
That was uncalled for. I must have been in a bad mood myself when I wrote that. Reading it now, I'm not sure what I was thinking.
You're right, Homer. Some critics did like it. I guess it was just disappointing. As one critic said - "It is probablly the worst movie ever made that stars three Academy Award winners."

Homer... dont use being 14 and having a C- in English as an excuse... please dont do that. It annoys the hell out of me. Hell, i'm 15 and i'm getting a D in English. Does that mean I suck at writing reviews? Hell no. Actually, i'm told i'm extremely good by my journalism teacher. She's recomended me for many a things in the field of journalism. I almost got a job at a proffesional paper... then they found out I was 15. So, please dont use that as an excuse... it's annoying.

I too find it annoying I am thirteen and my reviews are well written there not this movie kicks ass or this movie sucks. Gone in 60 seconds had an okay action squence (the chase scene) routine acting, and pretty lame dialogue I'm not critisizing you Homer (I also hate it when people think I don't get all the humor in Simpsons and South Park I watch them for HUMOR I don't watch them for fart jokes) but I am saying please don't use your age as an excuse for your film taste.

OK, I wont use the fact that I'm 14 as an excuse that my reviews suck. I still don't see why that is such a big problem, but if you have noticed, I haven't done it since I posted this message, and I have linked to some of my reviews.

I DEFINITELY agree with Homer. The movie was AWESOME!!! I don't quite see why the ratings were so down, but hey...I liked it. If all movies were believable what would be the point?!?! I recommend it to everyone! THANKS!
