View Full Version : Cabin Fever Problem

Ok so i was extremely pumped to get the Cabin Fever disc (which was only one disc?) and i got it home and took the plastic wrap off, and that's when the trouble started.........The DVD comes with a cardboard casing over top of the plastic shell casing, and the cardboard has a holographic type logo on the front (very cool), but then when i tried to get the plastic shell out, IT WOULD NOT FUCKING COME OUT!!! I seriously tried for about 45 mins to get this god damn thing out, pliers, a ruler, beating it off a remote, nothing would work and i was getting extremely pissed. Being the testosterone raging male that i am, there was no way i was taking this thing back to fucking Best Buy. So there i sat trying everything possible, and trying to be careful not to damage either casings and finally after 45 mins of pushing and pulling and beating the goddamn shell came out. I guess what I'm asking is has anyone else had this problem or was my DVD just being a little prick ass that day?

hmmm... was the security tag over the cases?? or was it just being a prick ass??!!
Mine came right out (and i am watching it as i type, FYI)
What confuses me about it is that it's only one fucking disc. I thought it was supposed to be a 2-Disk DVD, but the copy I got from the video store only came with one disk, and when it's a 2-Disk DVD they always include the second disk, so it should have been there. Is it only a one disk DVD or something? It was supposed to be a 2-Disk damn it!

it is one disk... it was sposed to be 2 disks (back when it was first announced) but it got downgraded over time! From what i see, it is still a pretty kick ass loaded disk!

ITs 1 disc, and the extras were on the promo cd given out when the movie came out so there is nothing new!
However did anyone notice that some DVDs covers were darker than others? It just seemed like that at the store.

On Amazon their picture of the cover is really dark and doesn't have the skull. I really like it like that, but didn't know what was up with that because from what I had seen the cover art had the skull on it and was brighter red. But maybe there's actually 2 different covers? If so, I would MUCH rather have the one with the darker cover.

I thought we were going to get the director's cut version for DVD. This is just the same movie from the theaters. Well the movie still kicks ass, I just wish we could get a director's cut.

the reason you all are seeing dark covers is because it has an outer slip that has a holographic cover. When you look at it one way it only shows he cabin very dark, alone... when you look at it a different way, it is the Skull looking cover!

Where can you find the easters eggs at on this disk?, and I am not too impressed with the special features. But the Rotten Fruit thing is cool, other stuff is just kind of a waste, like the family friendly version (it was funny for like 5 seconds) and chick vision is definately lame

Yeah mine took forever, but finally came out. The only thing i can think of is that the dvd case is too big for the slip, so i swapped my case with one of my other DVD's and it slides in and out perfectly now.
And i found an easter egg with Deputy Winston on the scene selection, but it was kinda gay. It was just him walking by with the bike clinging the bell
has anyone found or know where any others are at?

Every single one of the scene selection menus features Deputy Winston doing something different. It all leads up to him having a threesome with two hot schoolgirls who are infected with the virus! They're all pretty funny, actually, but the very last one featuring the Eli Roth-headed bird was just bizarre.

The DVD sounds cool. I don't wanna rent it or buy it right now, I watched the movie not too long ago. But when it gets released here, I might buy it. It was a cool movie.

Just go to each scene selection menu and wait a few minutes. Each menu features a different scene involving Winston.

Two discers are great (Day of the dead/Jackie Brown for me :) ), but I really don't see much of an appeal for them. Cool stuff, but if it's all on one disc, that's really all the less I have to get off of my ass.
But of course, you bastards probably have a 151 DVD changer.:D

For me, the party cop Winston easter egg appeared by just leaving it on the first scene selection menu. I didn't have to go to every menu for the eastereggs to play, I just left it on the first scene selection menu, and I got everything. Him f*cking those two girls was hilarious! And him walking away with the beers from what I'm assuming is another "Party."
Winston: "Yeah, you kids are lucky I'm cool enough to not call your parents after this!"
-Winston turns around.
Winston: "Yeah, look at all this beer! I'm gonna party tonight man!"
