The man plain rocks. I hear many great things from people, he is nice to fans at conventions, always happy, hyper to talk about a subject fans are interested in.
He's a legend.
YAY Freddy.

So glad, you should check out "The Adventures Of Ford Fairlane"
I'm tellin' ya, Robert deserves a award.
Is it just me, or does he act gay? i know on the FVJ commentary he said he had a wife, but i noticed in almost all of his movies he acts gay.

YAY. The man deserves every piece of respect and good work that he is given. He can even give cruddy films a saving grace. And he seems to be a genuinely nice person in real life, completely opposite to the child-molesting, vengeful, all round nasty fuck Freddy Krueger.

Yay. A great actor and makes a hell of creepy Freddy. Until the creators turned him into a joke, but that's not Englund's fault.

absolute yay, from playing Freddie Kreiger to directing "976-EVIL" to amazing roles in "Strangeland" to "The Killer Tongue" (cheesy movie, but damn does he chew the scenery)
...and one of the nicest, most humble celebs you'd ever meet....at conventions, he's always approachable and seems to actually have a good time instead of seeming to just be there for the free hotel room.........

A big fat YAY from me. I really don't know of any other horror actor who pulls off the creepy mood better than Englund. I am pleased to hear that he is such a nice guy in real life. I heard from the fellow horror Shmoes here, that he once dressed up as Freddy and visited a terminally ill little girl for a dying wish that she had.
The guy has managed to avoid being typecast despite playing Freddy in all the "Nightmare on Elm Street" films. I am glad that he continued playing Freddy even though he once thought about quiting to play Freddy after "A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors." I could not imagine anyone else playing Freddy as well as Englund did.
One last thing about him: it's cool to say that he lives in the city that is right next to the city which I live in. I still have yet to see him in Laguna Beach though. Studly Horror Buff out.

He's one of the MOST convincing actors I ever seen. He immortalized the character Freddy Krueger. I saw him other projects like V and did cameos for tv shows. He's cool. Thumbs up!!!!!
YAY

I first saw him on the NBC mini-series "V" way back in the 80s.
Freddy Krueger isn't my choice of movie killers (Hint: Hockey mask), but he pulls it off nicely.
Great actor.
Highly underused.
Yay.

I saw him shopping at the Albertsons in Laguna Beach a while back, and he seemed real down to earth. I've also seen Heather Locklear at the same Albertsons as well. I remember she bought lots of beef. :)

I find it uncomfortable to listen to his DVD commentaries or see him in interviews. He always acts so damn creepy. Now, obviously he's milking it up for the listeners/viewers, but I think being so well known as Freddy has seriously affected his personality. If I'm listening to a commentary or watching an interview, I'm not looking for more Freddy. I'm looking for Robert.
I like Mr. Englund. I think that he's an excellent actor. But, c'mon…

This is not exactly true. Have you seen The Mangler or Phantom of the Opera? I think the poor man has been seriously typecast. He almost always plays creepy men, killers or creepy killers.
