Yeah, it's a little early, but I always like to plan ahead. Here they are:
(Please post your favorites so I can have an idea of what else to rent on Halloween.)
1.(tie) Halloween 1 and 2
2. Evil Dead
3. Night of the Living Dead (original and remake)
4. John Carpenter's The Thing
5. The Blair Witch Project
6. Dawn of the Dead
7. A Nightmare on Elm Street
8. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
9. Fright Night
10. Phantasm
Now, these aren't all necessarily the scariest movies ever made. I just think they're perfect for increasing the creepy atmosphere on Halloween.

Where is "The Cell" ? /ubb/wink.gif
It won't be on video this Halloween though /ubb/frown.gif
I'd also add "Phantom of the Paradise" (1974) and "Beetlejuice" (1988) in the horror/comedy section /ubb/biggrin.gif , as well as "Cabinet of Dr. Caligari" (1921) in the B&W section.

Come on, guys, I'm going to need some more ideas about what else might be good terror-inducing fun on Halloween. I want something that will have me pissing myself for weeks afterward.(Don't say The Exorcist, since it will be extremely difficult for me to get ahold of a copy without my mom finding out.)
