I'm not gonna ask anyone to come up with a title for me or anything. I just need help coming up with one. And the title is important because it's used in the story. Before I called it Bellatrix. Bellatrix was supposed to be "Angelic" for Divine Warrior or something to that extent. But I got mundo criticism for using it because a) it sounds like the matrix and b) it's used in some gay Harry Potter book. Then I heard someone utter the word "vangelist." So I took that word, did some tinkering and came up with Vangellix. I asked my roommate what he thought (I always ask him about my ideas because he's the most critical person alive) and he told me it sounded too much like Evangelion. I'm having the hardest time coming up with a word right now. I want it to be original and memorable and just fuckin' awesome sounding. Everyone loves Jedi and Sith and Hobbit and everything...help, please?

It doesnt matter if it osunds like evangelion... see theres that movie 28 days,. then theres a movie 28 days later, they are similar, whats the big deal, vangellix is fine.

You should call it Angelblade

You should call it whatever the fuck you want to call it. Who gives a rat's if it sounds like movie x, y or z? Sure a title is important, but you're not going to please anyone. If a prodco doesn't like the title, they'll change it.

Yes, there's Bellatrix Lestrange in Harry Potter, sweet name if you ask me. I think you may be getting TOO critical when Vangelist wasnt good enough.

I don't think I was being too critical. I didn't want to use Vangelist because it sounds just like Evangelist, and it's nothing like that. Vangellix sounds cool to me because it's a word that I made up myself, not just a word missing a letter.

Just slap on a working title and get on with writing. I think some writers go through this title phase to delay the act of writing. So what it's used in the screenplay. You can change it later if you change your working title.

So, Velabatrix, Velociraptor, Vagiclean, whatever-the-fuck-- just write it.

"Bellatrix" plain and simple.

Who gives a $%#& what someone else thinks it sounds like?
Its not the matrix or even trying to be anything like it, so call it what you want. Bellatrix sounds like cool title to me.

Good luck.

Vangelix, sounds like Vangelis :) Everyone knows the BLADE RUNNER theme music!

Y'know, one thing pissed me off in this thread-

You want a cool-sounding word, which is shallow but fine, but

What the hell IS IT that you want the word for?

Is it going to be a name for a massive suit of alien-busting armour with chain-cannons built into each finger?

Is it the name of a mysterious cult who harness the power of the elements to sustain themselves forever?

Is it a kind of nuclear device?

If you said what this thing was, maybe we could help you... :)

Okay, a youth with powers bestowed upon him by God, Himself, to defend the Earth and physical reality from demons, vampires, and other nasty hell spawn. I wanted an original word because I sort of want to create my own language...the word is supposed to be in "The Angelic Language" which is supposed to mean Divine Warrior.

Vangelist was used in Blade Runner? Ah. So I wasn't imagining it. Because now that I think of it, my teacher was talking about Blade Runner and I kinda spaced out until I heard the word "Vangelist." And thus the light bulb burned.

Yes I'm familliar with that site. But it doesn't look like I'll be needing it now. For the title at least, since I've decided it'll be called VANGELLIX. But thanks.
