#1: there is already sequel to the Mask about to come out.

#2: your formatting is all wrong. See the FAQ for details.

#3: this scene is unnecessary.

NS already said it, but I'll say it again. The Mask 2 has already been made. I'm pretty sure they are already done with it. You're out of luck.

No this is a fan movie. not soemthing i wanna actually release just somethin fun to do. After i saw the horrible trailer for the second movie I HATED IT. Who the fuck would call a movie Son Of The Mask? What a total peice of shit. So thats why i wanted to make this fan film.

My formating is right actually when i tried putting it on here it got allfucked up. What is with you anyways you dont critisize the story but critisize how it is written. If you want to make it big in hollywood then you need to loosen up on how screenplays look everybody has there own style of writing well this just fuckin in this is mine.

I do use courier new. I do space things etc correctly. I do use size 12 on my word program. (I have a lot of scripts so I know how they should look.)

I thank you for beign honest saying the first scene was not needed, thats the kind of criticism i need. Telling me if something is good or bad is good but saying stuff like "Your formating is all wrong" Really pisses me off because that is not what I care about. I care about what the story shoudl do or say, waht is funny what is not, is this good or is this bad.

OK i'll assume people wil say this as well but you should care about that stuff, you don't need brackets for actions...

Now about your fan movie, wouldnt it just be better if you came up with your own idea and made your own film, rather than relying on an old movie for laughs (i assume most of the comedy would come from the person wearing the mask)....?

This seems to always come up a couple of months.

My formating is right actually when i tried putting it on here it got allfucked up.
I wasn't talking about the margins. I was talking about something like this:
(We see an Isalnd, beautifull sunny typical day. This is set back hundreds of years ago. We now see 2 boys age of 13 come into view both each carrying one side of a tresure chest that contains "The Mask" They both set the trunk down and start digging like crazy.)
"We see..." -- bad.
"(action)" -- absolutely bad.
"This is set back 100 years ago." -- bad.
"We now see..." -- bad.
"boys" instead of "BOYS" -- bad.

Your opening paragraph break 5 screenwriting conventions. To be honest with you, just the parenthesis alone would get this script thrown in the trash if it was ever submitted. So don't be telling me your formatting is right, when in fact it is absolutely not.

Look, if you don't take this seriously or ever want to do this as a career or have any respect for the craft of screenwriting that's A-OK. Just say so. But don't get all pithy when someone points out a glaringly obvious mistake you're making and directs you to where you can learn the correct way of doing it. Believe me, I don't personally give a shit if you live or die, let alone adhere to proper screenwriting format. I'm just assuming that you care, but clearly I was mistaken.

What is with you anyways you dont critisize the story but critisize how it is written.
I did. Read point #3 again.

If you want to make it big in hollywood then you need to loosen up on how screenplays look everybody has there own style of writing well this just fuckin in this is mine.
You are obviously saying this as a person who's never worked as a writer. Yes, everybody writes via they're own style, but all screenplays look the same. The format is immutable. The "style" comes into play in the content of the stories people write. That's the key.

But hell, if you don't care about doing it correctly just say so. It's fine.

This is harsh, considering-- according to his bio-- he's only twelve. When I was 12, I thought the 'director of photography' was the guy in charge of all the various photos that appear on mantles pieces and bedside tables and such.

You mean it's not?
For the longest time I thought the director of photography was the on-set photographer. Anyways...
