Actor Ewan McGregor has said he is disappointed that American cinema-goers will not be able to see his full frontal nude shot in his new movie.

Film company Sony Classics have decided to cut the scene from the American release of the forthcoming movie Young Adam, though it remains in the British version.

The star of Trainspotting and Moulin Rouge is puzzled why nudity is deemed so offensive when Hollywood rarely censors graphic violence.

Ewan said: "If you want to see my penis, you'll have to fly to Britain. If I'd blown away 5,000 people with a semiautomatic machine gun, that would be fine. But I showed my penis."

The Scottish star added: "It does amuse me, the horrific violence that comes out of American cinema. But someone naked is too much."

although i could go without seeing his penis, i still agree with him. They can show people getting chopped up, mutalated by guns and knives, but you can't show a penis.

I say one of the Democrates should add this to one of their speeches and opinions. "YES ON PENIS AND VAGINA'S ON THE BIG SCREEN!"

I couldn't care less about seeing Ewan's willy but I must say that this is stupid. Hollywood lets certain films show full frontal (Wild Things, Eyes Wide Shut, 28 Days Later, even Trainspotting WITH Ewan McGregor and his willy) but not this one.

Absurd.

Of course I'd much rather see Katie Holmes do full frontal. ;)

Reminds me of the the Blockbuster incident at the general film section (http://www.joblo.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=70373). If it was Hard Boiled at the end of that Home Alone 3 tape, the parants wouldn't be half upset.

I think we (America) need to lighten up when it comes to nudity.

If we've already seen his dick in Velvet Goldmine and Trainspotting, then what' the problem? I totally agree with him though, and my parents seem to be turning that way too, after years of letting me watch people get murdered on screen, but not even allowed one breast to be seen.
