I thought most of the awards seemed deserved.

Jennifer Lopez did look so frumpy in that dress, makeupand hairstyle- yikes!

Thought Nicloe was very restrained when saying Tom's name (didnt' say the father of my children or anything to let it even seem like they were in any way connected).

Al Pacino gives the absolute worst acceptance speeches!

The clip on Michael Duglas was horribly put together- seemed rushed and as Jo Blo mentioned the films presented made Douglas look lightweight for the life time award.

When Jim Carrey came out was it my imagination or did it seem like the celebs in the audience don't like him? Every celeb they showed was NOT smiling when he came out. Even Robin Williams who is a fellow crazy comic was totally deadpan in expression.

I only caught bits and pieces of the GG awards. I saw Charlize Theron... I adore her. Was that Stuart Townsend that escorted her to the GGs???

I hated that tie that Kiefer Sutherland wore. But God! He has one of the sexiest voices I ever heard!;)

jlo was called one of the best dressed that night... really, it was underwhelming.

and yeah, charlize was with stuart townsend at the globes. they're engaged. goodlooking couple, they are.

Pacino's acceptance speech=wow. that was the longest one i've seen.

the song they played during douglas's montage is stuck in my head. damn you, a chorus line!

nicole was probably nervous about saying tom's name because people were always talking about how she might have been handing him the best actor award.

maybe the people were just blinded by the light off of Jim's newly bald and shiny head.

Well, it could happen. Imagine that the Scientology Church decides to celebrate their own cinema awards... It's either him or John Travolta, so it's not much of a competition :D

*Has flashbacks to Golden Globes of 2000*

Meanwhile, from what little I remember of the Globes, fashion-wise, the memorable thing for me was Scarlet Johannson and her big breasts barely staying within her dress. I quite liked that moment

I believe he won about 14 or 15 years ago. The same award too.

Actually, he won 3 times. Once for Best Actor in a Drama in 1989 for Born on the Fourth of July, one for Best Actor in a Comedy in 1996 for Jerry Maguire, and then in 1999 for Best Supporting Actor for Magnolia. So he's won all 3 of the Golden Globes for male acting. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association LOVES him, so I actually wouldn't have been surprised if he won this year.
