HERO is a tremendous film. It was nominated for last year's Academy Awards for Best Foreign Film... and for some inexplicable reason... it has yet to be released in the United States. Miramax wonders why so many people order all region discs of these films... Well, if they didn't re-edit, dub or take over a year to release them... well, they might be in harmony with the audience and the profits to be found there.

I really didnt get this movie. Yes it was wonderfully made but I thought it was dead emotionally. Also I barely understood what was going on most of the time and when I did the story didnt involve me at all. Kind of reminded me of Crouching Tiger if it was really boring and nearly incoherent.

Sounds like a good film.

But, is there anyone left who takes that ginger fucking schills' word for anything these days?

Odds on he got given a heap of "pwessies" to tout this flick.

Fucking corrupt fanboy gone mad.

RE:

I agree.

It's visually stunning and has strong acting, but the story left me totally cold. The problem was born out of the Rashomon-tehnique they used, it was difficult to be attached to the characters when I was being told for the 3rd time that they are something totally else than what I thought they were.

But still, many scenes are very impressive to look at.

7/10.
