Has anyone seen any of the Maniac Cop series? What did you think? My exboyfriend loves them, he has even made a 'Maniac Cop 4' short film (He is a media production student...)

I watched them recently and the films are pretty poor but funny! The flashback in the first is ace and I love Bruce Campbell!!!

I bought this movie on cheapo 4 dollar dvd the other day. I remember seeing it before and it was allright.

I saw the sequel as well but I fast forwarded through most of that.

I`ve seen 1 and 2, they`re both pretty good and well-made considering the obvious low budgets.
They both have great casts too (particularly 2).

Still, 1 has Bruce Campbell, Tom Atkins, and "Shaft" himself Richard Roundtree.

The sequel has Campbell, Robert Davi, Leo Rossi, Caudia Christian, Michael Lerner, and even the great Clarence Williams III.

I love the scene (in Part 1) where the girl escapes from the muggers, only to be killed by Maniac Cop!

I have Maniac Cop 1 and it is a pretty good slasher even it tries to more than just a slasher I think.
It is a well directed film ( Lustig ) and the music, the photography and the acting are good.
I like how New York is depicted,too.
I was a bit surprised to see one of the main characters dying.

I've only ever seen the first in the series, and it was pretty decent from what I remember of it... Except the music that is.

I love the entire series... They are just plain FUN with 2 being the best and 3 being absolutely HILARIOUS!!!!

Plus... The bonus of having Bruce Campbell showing up in the series is well worth the price of admission.

ive seen 1 and it was a lot of fun, i was expecting it to be pretty bad but the acting was very good and i was sentertained throughout, now im gonna have to get 2 and 3
