Pink ruffled by Beyonce's fur coat

Pink was less than impressed when Beyonce Knowles turned up to the launch of an ad campaign in London wearing a mink coat.

Pink, who once wrote to Prince William asking him to give up bloodsports, managed to keep her views to herself, says the Sun.

But she said: "It's not something I would wear but each to their own. I've not said anything but I think everyone knows my views - I won't ever touch fur - it's wrong."

Beyonce, Pink and Britney Spears were at London's National Gallery for the launch of the new Pepsi ad which features them all as gladiators.

Beyonce said she sees London as her second home: "I'm here every few months now and I love it - I love the English people but I don't like the cold."

How many of these celebs who wouldn't harm a hair on an animal's head do you suppose have had abortions and claim that to be okay because it's "my body, my choice"? And just how many have worn cosmetics by corporations that literally torture animals in tests using their products?

I love animals. I've hunted for food just like man has done for thousands of years before we became too "civilized" to kill animals. I see nothing wrong with hunting or eating meat, as long as the kill is quick and the animal does little to no suffering. As for the fur campaigns, before we had anything else for clothing, we opted for fur. American Indians killed buffalo and then utilized the entire animal instead of letting one scrap of it go to waste. And that included the fur. I'm not condoning the killing of animals just for their skins, but I'm not of the mindset that companies making fur coats are evil empires, either. Pink was wise not to make more of an incident out of this. As she said, to each their own.

I can understand if people in extremely cold areas (like Siberia) wear fur, but celebrities who wear fur only remind me of pimps. I think on celebrities it looks tacky and rather "trying too hard to impress". I'm NOT impressed by Beyonce.

The celebrity nitpick-bitch syndrome is getting to be quite annoying anymore. If it wasn't this, then it's a huffy puff about Lindsey Lohan and Hilary Duff both wearing green blouses on the same day.

A lot of it I think is the press/paparazzi stirring shit up. There were probably a ton of cameras in Pink's face with people shouting "What'd ya think of the coat? What'd ya think of the coat? What'd ya think of the coat?" etc...

I agree! Fur coats and everything look so fucking ugly, who would want to wear it? Taking an animals fur to make yourself look uglier is pretty stupid. You can wear fake fur if you still want to look ugly! I can't even tell the difference between fake and real fur anyway. Hell, it would be classier for them to wear fake fur, I would have more respect for them. Wearing real fur is just unforgiveable. If I saw someone walk into a room with a fur coat, I'd be whispering about how distasteful it is with other people. ;)
