View Full Version : Whens a good time to Put in Angles and shot description?

I have been struggling with this problem.. i cant figure out when to put in the desciptions of the shots and angles in the script without it bogging down or clogging up the story? any words of wisdom?

Always leave them out. If you're writing to film it yourself, then all you are doing is limiting further creativity. If you want to sell it, then camera angles are for directors. You want to sell the story, not the style.
If you have a great idea for a shot or angle (especially if you plan on shooting the script yourself), then write it down on an index card and put the scene # on it and file it for later. That way when you are rereading or editing the script you are focusing on the story and dialouge, not the camera angles.
