I'm using a sony drv-70 (something like that) it's my friends camera and I was wondering about editing in the 16:9 mode it has. I can shoot my video and get it into the computer (I use Primiere to edit) but then when I export it the avi file is has two tiny bars on the top and bottom (not like the 16:9 it was filmed on) Everything looks fine in the editing process but I can't export it to a widscreen format any help would be great.

Premiere has a mode that allows you to setup and edit your project widescreen, preserving the anamorphic image without letterboxing it.

When you start your project, it will ask what mode you want to edit. Pick widescreen DV and you should be good to go.
