ABC Wants to Watch Kelly Osbourne 'Doing It'
(Wednesday, January 28 09:15 AM)

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Reality star/singer Kelly Osbourne has a family life that could come under the heading "Freaks and Geeks," so it's fitting that she's catching on with two former "Freaks and Geeks" scribes for her first drama series. Osbourne will appear in the ABC drama pilot "Doing It."

Based on the controversial young adult novel by Melvin Burgess, "Doing It" is a coming-of-age story that focuses on three teenage boys, with an emphasis on their sexual explorations. In Burgess' native U.K., the book has become a best seller while coming under fire for its frank discussion of sexual topics.

"Doing It" is slated to be published in the United States this summer.

For the ABC series, Burgess' 16-year-old characters -- Dino (Sean Farris), Jonathan (Chris Lowell) and Ben (Jon Foster) -- have been transplanted to Seattle.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Osbourne will play a love interest for Jonathan. This will be her scripted acting debut, though she was cast in last summer's remake of "Freaky Friday" only to drop out before production began. Her family's MTV reality series "The Osbournes" began its third season on Tuesday night (Jan. 27).

Other additions to the "Doing It" pilot include Missy Peregrym (The WB's "Black Sash") as Dino's girlfriend and Marguerite Moreau ("Wet Hot American Summer") as the inevitable sexy literature teacher.

The pilot was written by Jeff Judah and Gabe Sachs ("Freaks and Geeks"), who will executive produce along with former ABC Entertainment President Stu Bloomberg and Touchstone TV-based producer Francie Calfo.

Producers should learn something.

It's not because you're popular that you are necessarily an actor. She will probably suck big time. I think I hate her.

Anyone who thinks Kelly Osbourne can play a love interest must be as stoned as Ozzie himself.

Trust me, IF this show makes it to the air, it won't last long. Last time I checked, Kelly was only popular because of her father, and not very popular at that.

Bah, could've been a great show, but Kelly Osbourne being releated to it makes me respect it all the less.

I think they should bring Ashton Kutcher into this and punk them making them think they makeing a movie, but actually trap them in a building and burn them all alive...

I'm probably in the minotrity here, but I like Kelly and I think that she has talent. In my honest opinion if she wasn't Ozzy's daughter or if people didn't know that she was Ozzy's daugther than people probably wouldn't be so critical of her, but at the same time she probably wouldn't get alot of the oppertunities that she has had if she wasn't Ozzy's daughter.

my thoughts:

1) ozzy's three biggest flaws were doing that goddamned show, kelly, and jack

2) kelly's already insisted she doesn't want to do the osbournes again next season because she "hates the attention"

3) her "pop career" took less time than it usually takes me to piss

4) i want to rip that rubik's cube earring out of her ear and smear her eyeshadow so it blinds her, then choke her to death with one of her dad's crosses

VIVA OZZY, RANDY RHOADS STYLE!!!

"talk hard. steal the air."

Dude, I was about to go off. Just a TV show title? It could have been so much worse. I wouldn't have been the same man.
