You know the drill. Which NBA team do you think will take the big prize this spring?

I'm thinking it'll be The Pacers.

Pacers, they're my favorite NBA team.
I'll go out on a limb and say Sacramento
darkhorse: Knicks (they have enough talent anyways)
Houston (good defence, good coach, and should theoretically be a great halfcourt team, though I have barely seen them play this year)

its ALL about the Spurs...I could see the Lakers pulling it off but they have to get healthy and gel REAL quick.
Its the Spurs, again, with the best player in the game...Mr should have been a Celtic Tim Duncan.

I would love to say Houston or Detroit, but I have a feeling it is Sacramento's year.

The Kings have to be the logical choice at this point. They haven't arguably their best player all season in C-Webb, though I would argue for Peja, and yet there are at the top of the league. Once Webber comes back I have a hard time anyone can beat them in a seven game series.
I can't go with the Lakers because the 4 future hall of famers haven't been able to get to know each other on the floor yet. I doubt they'll get it together before the playoffs, but it is possible.
A team like the Pacers do have what it takes to run with any team in the west. If a team like the Spurs or Mavs make it out of the west, I could easily see the Pacers taking the finals. That is of course assuming they don't fall apart in the second half like they have in past seasons.

That's right too and Brad Miller has played great as well. It's got to kill Bulls fans to see him play well considering they traded him for oh hell I can't remember who.

THey even included Ron Artest in that trade. I also can't remember who it was for now.

I voted for Sacramento.
And I can assure you, THE LAKERS WILL NOT WIN AGAIN THIS YEAR.

I still think that if all 4 of their big players are playing in the playoffs that the Lakers will win it.

The trade was...
Jalen Rose, Travis Best, Norm Richardson and a future second-round pick for
Ron Mercer, Ron Artest and Brad Miller, Kevin Ollie
So the Bulls traded the best ball defender in the East and an AllStar center for 3 guys who are no longer on the team.
Nice work Jerry Krause

I predict all NBA players will be in prison by the time the playoffs start, and the Harlem Globetrotters will win by default.

I'm going out on a limb and say...the Celtics.
Hey, I'm Irish. ;)
Plus, my '76ers don't have a chance in hell. :(

Its gotta be the Spurs.
But I'm sure the Lakers will raise their game come Play-Offs time.

I went with the Spurs.
I think this year is the most open year since...well, last year, which was already open. :) Any team in the West could get there, and the Pacers could too. The Lakers, on the paper, are clear favorites. But I go with San Antonio because they're playing solid, regular, basketball, they got depth, no problems outside the court, and experience. And they're getting better and better every week.
