I had always been curious about Vamp, but it was Arrow's review that sold me on it. Thankfully, I wasn't disappointed. It nails the fusion of horror and comedy. The pace is breezy, the dialogue is sharp, and the storyline is rather unpredictable. Grace Jones is both scary and sublime as Katrina, the cardinal bloodsucker in an infernal strip club. Her lurid striptease ranks up there with Angela's act in Night of the Demons as one of the sexiest, yet creepiest dance sequences in fright flick history. I agree with Sir Arrow in that the very, very, very ending is ignoble, but nevertheless, Vamp is one of the better vampire films from the '80s.

I have grown tired with vampire flicks as of late... However I might as well give this a shot if I can find it. Between this and Ankle Biters.
Hm, midget vampires or sexy vampires... damn.

They need to combine both. SEXY midget vampires now that would kick ass.

Good movie.Use to watch it all the time. The albino vampires were pretty cool and Grace Jones made a good vamp.Hell Im sold she still is a vampire after seeing her over the years. What ever happened to the guy that played in this and was also in A Nightmare on Elm Street 2.Did he do any other movies.

The albino chaps weren't vampires. They were just a band of degenerates (notice how clueless they are when they confront the vampires). Robert Rusler has appeared in other films since Vamp, but none of them are noteworthy.

YES ROBERT RUSLER KICKS ASS!! Everything THE ARROW said about him in the review for VAMP is true!! He IS the dude from the 80's that you just wanted to either be or hang around with!!
I've only seen VAMP once, but I know I thought it was great, even thought it was a long time ago. It's very hard to get hold of. Is it available on region 1 dvd or am I just looking in the wrong places or what?? I'd love to have it. Certain it isn't available region 2.

robert rusler is just the definition of everything cool....since these days of Vamp and NOES 2,i don't think he did much at all,he did the video game-movie Wing Commander 4 for Playstation,he had a cool role in it,but the only way you can watch it is if you buy and play the game and such....
and yes,it is out on region 1 dvd for sure.
