This does NOT mean the writer/director etc was on drugs during making. What I'm thinking is that the horror was caused from drugs. I can only think of two and they are basically the same.

Dr. Jekyell and Mr. Hyde
Mary Reilly

Can you think of any others?

arrow did a review on a movie called "blood", which involved a woman's blood having addictive qualities to those to drank it.

check it out here

that's really the only one that comes to mind for me.

"talk hard. steal the air."

Altered States ('80) Scientist uses hallucinogens to study past life regression and realities get a bit mixed up...couple of good 'trip' sequences.

Jacob’s Ladder – government uses an experimental drug to enhance war techniques, instead it turns the Platoon against each other.

Liquid Sky – weird & cheesy, aliens come to earth to fix their heroin addiction.

Of course there are also bad movies with drug themes like I Was a Teenage Zombie and Nightscare aka Beyond Bedlam.

Could also include to an extent Class of Nuke em High, with contaminated marijuana "Atomic High"

The Spencer Tracy version of JEKYLL & HYDE, and JACOB'S LADDER! REQUIEM is more of a psychological drama than outright horror, although it did feature horrific moments.

The Faculty is one I'm thinking about. The aliens couldn't take the drug the kids did. The aliens drug of choice was . . . water... Of course the drug the kids took didn't cause the horror, but helped instead. Strange.

great post Psycho Dude, I come in Peace.

I can't think of many and i can't think of what would qualify.

There was a movie released by Brain Damage films recently called Something Strange Happens At Sunrise, thats probaly wrong but its close, its about vampire mobsters, i thought it was a great idea and a great movie but theres a sub plot with one of the vampires putting his blood in weed and the people who smoked it would become his slaves.

Redneck Zombies, the rednecks drank the contaminated moonshine.

I don't know those movies are pushing it. I really can't think of anymore that anyone else has posted.

Class of Nukem High

This movie is funny on so many levels...but the Atomic High causes all the mahem in this movie.

Visitor Q... A large stretch as the film isn't based on drugs but the woman certainly had a drug addiction, which may have had much to do with alot of the latter sequences.

Naked Lunch, Requeim For A Dream, and Visitor Q, even though I don't consider these movies to be outright horror, they are if you can count "disturbing" as horror.
