I'm surprised Eternal sunshine is R. I would of thought it'd be PG13 to increase the box office.

Come on, I want some NC-17 rated violence and gore shown in movies, now that's something you almost never see.

I thought Godsend would get an R and Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind would get a PG-13 maybe a PG.

I thought Godsent would be R as well since it has some "sexual" nudity in it, hopefully this might mean that the MPAA is "cutting down" on their ratings?

There was no way it could've been. It's the biggest movie Lions Gate has ever done, and they want a big hit out of it. They're still looking for that film that will make them a bigger studio. As for the nudity, it's probably cut.

im surprised Godsend is not R as well, but yay for me, being as I'll definitely get into it now and i can support Lions Gate. As for Eternal Sunshine, i was expecting and R so no surprise there.

I think they'll find it with the upcoming The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe and the other two Narnia movies that Lions Gate have rights to.

I'm most likely slow on this, and i'm sure everyone knows, but it just became news to me the other day through our state newspaper where it said that The Passion of the Christ is now rated NC-17! I bet newmarket isn't too pleased with this. Because i know that churches have been buying tickets or whatever by the bulk. Maybe someone can confirm this or reject it.

It's bullshit.

The reason I say that is, they don't claim nudity as one of the reasons for the rating. It may feature a little sex, but I doubt there's any nudity.

I saw the clip with Stamos topless. You see her tits, but it's hard to find the nippleage.

that's a relief then. Still weird that they'd post that in our newspaper. Maybe it got an NC-17 at one point or somethin and they got confused. idk
still can't wait to see this, i'm suprised there aren't any tv spots yet.

You're not missing much, trust me. It was pretty awful with very few redeeming features. Even Jamie Bell wasn't his usual charismatic self, he seemed to sleepwalk through his role. It comes off as a Sixth Sense wannabe (complete with twist inc. ending), just set in the trenches of Germany rather than Philadelphia. I originally gave it 4/10 but if I were ever to see it again, I'm positive that my grade would decrease.
It's a shame about Eternal Sunshine. With a PG13 rating, it could have made some serious business. I'm sure it will still be a small hit with the arthouse crowd but what with the masses going to see Bruce Almighty, they would have been 'duped' into seeing it.
Godsend looks kinda cool, PG13 will do wonders for its rating.
