Being a practicing jew and a huge Mel Gibson fan I am shocked about the vibe going around about the man and his new film (Passion of the Christ). He is not anti-semetic in any way/shape/or form. He infact took his film before a board of Rabbis and Ministers and asked what he could do to convince his audience his intentions were NOT anti-semetic. One jewish man brought up the fact that the film was supposedly giving off that Jews were the ones who killed Jesus, not the Romans. AND that many Jews are VERY touchy about this. So the man sugested the Gibson put this at the end of his film "Thousands of innocent Jews were killed in Roman occupation during the era, but only one Jew rose from the grave."
GIBSON IMEDIATLY TOOK THE MANS SUGGESTION IN HOPES OF HIS FILM NOT BEING SHUNNED BY AUDIENCES WHO HAVN'T EVEN SEEN IT YET.
I just want to know what everyones thoughts are on the man and his film. I personally think that he's a brilliant actor and director. And the fact that he is going out of his way to make sure that the film is not offensive is very admirable.
WHAT DO YOU THINK????
