Hey, guys! For anyone who doesn't read the horror posts, I am making one here. I came across a web article while trying to find downloadable versions of H.P. Lovecraft stories, and found to my wonder and surprise that a theatrical version of "At the Mountains of Madness" is being made and famed horror/action direcor Guillermo del Toro is at the helm.
Now, is there any shred of truth to this? 'Cause if so, I am so happy! I am a fan of del Toro's works and just became intrigued with Lovecraft's writings (way bizzaro to say the least), so the news of this, if valid, could be the making of an awesome creep-fest.

I hope this is true!! We need more adaptations of Lovecraft (and this is one of his best stories), and not limited to the B-movies like Dagon and Beyond Re-Animator! Del Toro would definitely kick ass :)

At first i thought this was a sequel to "In the Mouth of Maddness".

Wasnt that also based on Lovecraft?

Wasnt that also based on Lovecraft? Yes, but in his particular universe, not in one specific story.

That is EXACTLY what I thought when I first read the title of the thread. I kinda wish that's what it turned out to be. A sequal to In the Mouth of Madness would be pretty cool IMO. Oh, well.
