It doesn't take much effort to sit here in the comfort of my home and report on all the ups and downs in horror, critiquing whatever I can as often as I can. What does take effort, though, is making the move to actually add to the world of horror, and though most webmasters/editors are just doing it until their script gets sold (not me, can't write one worth a damn), one of us is making good.
I speak of John Fallon, aka "The Arrow" from Arrow In The Head, one of the coolest horror sites out there. A while back he sold his first property, called The Red Hours (official site), and Jo Blo reported today that pre-production is finally getting underway through MovieSeals Productions. They've already hired Adrian Morot, effects man on Timeline and The Bone Collector, to handle the film's special effects, though no cast has been signed as of yet.
Fallon and MovieSeals will be attending the AFM this month to help get some interest drummed up for the project (easier to make a movie when you have a studio backing...they have money, you know), and we wish him the best of luck. He'll also be hanging out with writer/director Eric Red (who I had thought disappeared off the face of the Earth again...) and his Line Drive Productions to discuss their upcoming film slate.
We'll make sure to stay on top of this, it's always exciting for us when one of our own makes good.
