Most pointless sequels

One thing I love about horror films are endless sequels (outside of horror only James Bond can compete!), but I've noticed three series that have spawned endless shit sequels. Who keeps buying them???

So out of The Howling series, The Amityville series and the Children Of The Corn series, which one is the most pointless, irrelevent and stultifyingly dull of the lot?

Suck suck suck suck sucky suckerton. But I'm subjective. I really can't stand most of the sequels in "horror franchises" et al Friday the 13ths, NOES, and Halloweens.

I'd have to go with Children Of The Corn.

I did like a movie or two in the Amityville Horror series and I loved in addition to the original Howling - Howling IV: The Original Nightmare, Howling V: The Rebirth and Howling VI: Freaks.

AMITYVILLE had the better sequels (2 & 3 ruled, in my book), but a weak original. While THE HOWLING had a great original but awful sequels. CHILDREN OF THE CORN sucked all the way around!

I voted for the howling first, but i just rewatched children of the corn and it really really sucked, I wish i would have voted for that now cause The Howling is much better then that.

Some of the sequels to Amityville and the Howling were commendable, but all of the Children of hte Corns after the first one sucked ace.
