I've just finished watching his 1983 Horror film The Keep and I have only just realised how versatile he really is. Over his twenty year span, he has made less then ten films, but however proves himself to be one of the top three film directors working in America today, by using innovitive lighting and camerawork. In my opinion his best film so far is Manhunter which suparses the brilliant Silence of the Lambs and the mediocre Hannibal. At the moment his Muhammed Ali flick Ali is one of my most anticipated movies on the circuit. Now what is your opinion.

Heat. No doubt about it. Not only Mann's best film but the best film of the 1990's other than Fight Club.

Heat, followed by Insider. They both gave 2 of Al Pacino's best performances of the 90's.

HEAT and THE INSIDER. I wouldn't put the second one in this topic if it wasn't for Russell Crowe, by the way.
