My favourite would be Steve Martin, closely followed by organised Billy Crystal. Personally I think the academy should try Robin Williams as a presenter for future Academy Awards.

Billy Crystal's opening number is the best thing about the Academy Awards.
He gets my vote

Billy Crystal is great but Steve Martin is very good as well. There is nothing funny or good about Whoopi Goldberg at all.

Steve Martin was awesome. It made you forget the atrocity of Bringing Down the House.

I really enjoy Martin. I can't get enough of his old standup either. I think they should give Letterman another shot.

So this best host, not presenter I guess.
Anyway, it's practically a tie between Billy Crystal and Steve Martin. Both are priceless. But I give the edge to Crystal because I LOOOVE SOOO much when he puts himself in a clip from the movies and does his song and dance thing for the best picture nominees.
I'd also agree with the person who thinks they should give Robin Williams a chance.
And I know alot of people don't like Goldberg, but I thought she was good. Just not nearly as good and Crystal and Martin.

I like Steve but Billy has the opening where he puts himself in clips of movies which he has done in the past. I do hope there is one for this years.

I voted Billy...he is just a better comedian in my opinion. Oh, and Robin Williams would be an excellent choice, but I can't see them doing that...can you see him sticking to the program? :D

LOL!! How funny was Billy Crystal this year? Not enough to slide past Steve Martin as my favourite Oscar presenter, but he was close.

Can't stand Whoopie Goldberg.
Steve Martin's aight, but not that memorable.
Billy Crystal it is then. The thing that cinched it for me was that part during the beginning where he put himself, naked, into the scene in Something's Gotta Give where Jack sees Diane. That was funn-ay.

Steve Martin: I like his dry, droll humor, and the fact that he doesn't need to sing crappy songs to Best Picture nominees or insert himself into movie clips (so old!) in order to be a great host.

I'm going to go with Steve Martin. He is just so effortlessly funny, whereas at times Billy Crystal has to force the laughs out of people. Also I think Crystal's jokes are extremely repetitive, I mean watching the 2004 Oscars, I felt like I was back there watching the 2000 ones. That's not to say Crystal isn't - at times - hysterically funny and an awesome talent, but personally, I think is more Martin constantly original, and I just think he's funnier.
Whoopi Goldberg? Ugh. She just sucks. She can just go "whoopi" her own ass.
