I, for one, am THERE!

I doubt I'll end up seeing it. "Jesus Christ: Anatomy of a Murder" doesn't really feel like a movie I'd end up seeing during its theatrical run

I'll see it opening night, pending my theatre actually gets it.

Can't wait. I saw the first trailer last year and have been excited about this film ever since.

Yeah, I'll see it, looks like a high-quality, interesting film. I'm not ejaculating over it like most Schmoes and I think Mel's going nuts, but the movie still looks good.

I wasn't really looking forward to it too much, despite being an avid Christian, but after seeing the latest clips, it looks pretty epic.

I was going to wait for it to come out on video, but after reading an article written by someone that basically called any Christian who believes in a literal interpretation of the Bible an 'anti-semitic biggot', I have to see this movie in the theatres, if only because he doesn't want me to.

I don't want to mention the article, because it's hate-filled B.S. and it simply isn't even worthy of a rebuttal, or to have people read it.

I'm in total agreement with ya on Mr. Gibson's current mental state. Did anyone catch his interview with Diane Sawyer Monday night? The man sounded like a raving lunatic!

Just because you and most people out there don't share his faith doesn't mean he's nuts. I applaud him for having the guts to not hide his faith in a world full of Scientologists and Atheists.

Anyway, I will definetely be waiting in line to see this movie the week it comes out. It looks incredible.

Yes, I will. I won't see it opening night, however, probably Saturday.

Of coarse I will be there!

a) I try and see everything that comes out (I'm not usually successful but I try)

and

b) The movie looks great and this is coming from someone who isn't religious AT ALL!

And I don't think Mel is going nuts at all. I saw the interview myself and he was very sensible.

Yes, and I really want to see it alone. I think I'll get the most out of it and the best experience from it if I watch it for the first time by myself.

Have you seen the interviews? I have no problem with religious people. I do have problems with religious zealots who say non-Catholics are going to Hell, and whose parents espouse opinions that the Holocaust is overrated. But there is too much discussion on that ridiculous issue around here in the first place; I shouldn't even have brought it up.

I'm not really a religious person, in fact I'd go as far as saying I'm quite the athiest. But my religious status hasn't ever had anything to do with what films I see, considering I hardly have a religious status even. I also think this movie looks like a piece of shit...but will I still see it? YES. It looks like an intriguing project, even if it does suck.

A definite, resounding, "Can I get an Amen!" Yes!!!

This looks to be quite the powerhouse film...hopefully it will be better than those cheesy, flaccid and glossy Jesus epics from yeeeeaaarrrsss ago.

I've never been in doubt, I've been looking forward to seeing it ever since I first saw a preview in November. I have no religious affiliation at all, but I am a movie maniac and thats why I have to and want to see it. Plus it looks pretty bloody good.

I'm seeing this one no matter what. Honestly, I think some people just like to play the race card whenever the least little thing rubs them the wrong way. Anyone with me here?

Good news for me. My shitty movie theatre says it will be getting Passion of the Christ this Wednesday. I'm definitely checking it out.

I can assure you that for every atheist or scientologist in the world, there are about a zillion Christians. In North America, Christians generally aren't a terribly oppressed group of people, so Gibson really has no reason to hide his faith. I'm not trying to get into an argument, I just felt the need to point that out.

As for the movie, I'm an atheist, and therefore I generally have no interest in The Bible, Jesus, etc. Furthermore, from what I've seen, it doesn't look all that interesting, although that could be due to the fact that the subject matter doesn't resonate with me as much as it inevitably will with others.

Well I haven't seen a lot of footage, but the footage I have seen, it looks good. Plus I'm a christian, and will definitely go see it. Plus I'm a fan of Mel and Jim.

If I can get tickets, I'll go. This film is getting a lot of advance sales because of the subject matter and the controversy, so I may have to wait a while.

I'll see it I think. I'm not religious at all but I think this is a brave move on gibsons part- investing $30M+ of his own money and risking his career, and I like watching brave films, because they're all that's saving us from endless sequels to movies like charlie's angels etc.

Totally running in the opposite direction now, and opting for THE DREAMERS this weekend instead. At least until the hype and crowds dwindle. Plus, I'm not in the mood to be manipulated. The Catholic Church and its hypocrites have done far too much of that in my reality. Which is why I generally tend to boycott such debacles.

Your theater must be like the only theater to not get the movie ;)

Wow! I'm just shocked at how HUGE this movie did Box Office wise. 117$ million

And the movie cost just 25$ million which means there is already a HUGE profit!!!!!!!!!!

The "world full of Scientologists and Atheists" I was referring to is Hollywood. Christians are very rare in Hollywood, and are often portrayed in a bad light.
