Okay here in Aus we have a show called Video Hits, they play music videos that are popular songs.

Now before i go into anything else im going to put my musical history. I can and do listen to everything (excpet country :P). I was born listening to Elvis, Sinatra, Abba, a bit of Opera and alot of old 40's, 50's 60's and plus from my parents. Kiss from a few of my cousins too. I can listen to all times of rock and fidn them all good. Pop is great because its catchy. Techno is great for its mad ass beats. For the past 5 years i have heabily gotten into 80's music and Hip hop from 1990 up. Even though i like everything, techno and hip hop remain my favourties.

Back tot hte point - this show palys pop music then rock and alternative (which i will put in the the same category of RA) and also Hip Hop, R'n'B and Rap (HH). Now Pop and RA im kewl with or Pop and HH im kewl with, but the shows play everyhting and it doesnt mix right.

Like RA and HH dont mix, im in the HH faze now because apart from kiss, i find alot of RA and all that old. I find HH (mostly hip hop for wat im bout to say) the next gen of music, compared to rock, it has more meaning and fits in much more lyrics then ra songs. BTW, fifty and his gansta raps (even tho they are mad) are more or less 'commercial' rap if u folow my drift.

If i watch a show liek that, id rather here one world of music and not the other. And since RnB & Hip Hop are what more people listen to (in Usa and Aus) i find why dont htye just chuck out the ra all together? This show wants ratings, and unlike another show which plays lots of hh, isnt getting better ratings. or too much.

I'm not sure if i got my view out but what do you schmoes think?
