I got the idea for this topic from watching the 40 Greatest Drinking Songs on CMT. Most drinking songs are country songs. Here is my list of some great drinking songs:

Alabama Song by the doors. Great song all on its own, but I imagine listening to that song while drinking a few must be an interesting experience...:D

I dont know if it counts as a drinking song or not... but here is one of my favorite bar memories.

Some friends and I went out to a local bar in Kingston (The Brass. I'm sure Daddie Fat Sacks has been there before!) Anyway, the place was really crowded, and it was a real mix of different types of people. All of the sudden, I hear the ever so familiar opening guitar strumming from none other than "Asshole" by Denis Leary. The next thing you know, everyone in the joint was singing along and by the end of the song, folks I did not even know had there arms drapped across my shoulders, and laughing and having a great time. That moment will always stay in my mind and heart, beause in the end, no matter who you are or what your social status...

We are all assholes at heart.
