Anyone have more info or seen this pure horror from the amazing Takashi Miike? Can't believe I haven't seen anything around here on this.

The Japanese title is: Chakushin ari

There was a review of it on AICN a couple of days ago. Sounds really good. It basically has a similar plot to ringu but with a twist that a TV channel makes a reality show about the people who are cursed to die. :)

I could not give a flying toss if the first hour of this movie is as generic as the above review suggests. I'm majorly hyped for that last thirty minutes of mayhem. Goddamn!!! I want to see this now.

Uh oh. Tom Mes gave this a negative review at www.midnighteye.com. Now seeing as Mes previously seemed to get an erection at the name miike (and has written a book about him), this probably ain't a great sign.

I'm hoping to get my hands on most of Miike's work. I already have "The Audition," and I want to get "Dead or Alive," "Ichi the Killer," "Full Metal Yakuza," and "Happiness of the Katakuris." I'll bet Takashi can make Quentin Tarantino fall to an early grave!

i saw some of this, it was good but it was very bad quality.
It was pretty weird about this gurl that could see visons of the dead.

Are you sure you're not confusing that with "The Eye?"

Please , please , i beg of all directors , no more films about or with creepy Asain girls , it's so old now , i'm at wits end . Let this Ringu narrative device end , and no more creepy Asain boys either , or restless spirits .

It was cool for a little while , and some great films were made in that mold , but now it's time to move on . Plus , this looks like nothing more than a variation on the Korean film " Phone " .
