Damn, I forgot about Newman's death in Road to Perdition. Quite possibly the best single shot in the last 20 years (the wraparound shot with all of Newman's henchmen getting mowed down in the rain. No sound whatsoever except for the music. Newman standing firm with his back to the assassin). What a great f'n movie.

2. Ambush in Bonnie and Clyde. Those birds... So lyrical and yet so very brutal.

3. Draba's futile but brilliant gesture in Spartacus. From the Roman soldier hopping off of the wall and perfectly tossing the javelin into his back until Crassus delivering the final cut. Simply classic.

4. A little while later, Spartacus drowning that overseer asshole in a pot of beans.

5. The Chief taking the spear in the chest and then trying to kill Willard with his dying breath in Apocalypse Now.

6. "Ready when you are, Officer Pemberton."

7. Moe Green gets it in the eye in The Godfather

8. That conceited snot nosed twerp maneuvering Keith Carradine into a "gunfight" in McCabe and Mrs. Miller.

9. Sgt. Elias, arms outstretched like Christ in Platoon.

10. Sgt. Barnes a little while later. "Do it, boy. DO IT!!"
