For me if its a totally cheezey film ill do like an audio commentary and ill just say stupid stuff, I know it probably pisses people off but its habit.

Yeah sometimes I'll point out lots of mistakes, tell behind the scenes facts, and make fun of movies when I'm watching a cheesy horror movie with my family that i've seen dozens of times.

If I've seen the movie hundreds of thousands of times before (Evil Dead) I'll sit there and mouth the lines out. >.<!

I bite my nails. I only really do it though 'the exciting bits' of movies, or if I'm concentrating on something (I do it a lot when I'm working).
Unfortunately, I get elbowed in the kidneys every time the wife spots me at it.

Four words: Mystery Science Theater-esque Commentary. I cant help it, I do it all the time. Good thing is im funny, so no one ever gets to bothered by it.

me too! when we're watching a wonderfully bad film, my friends and i mst3k it to death. last one we did was "slumber party massacre ii." i think we would have made joel/mike and the bots proud.
I do the same thing too. My friends's reactions are varied. It depends on if they've seen the movie or not, and if I'm "on" or not. Of course, it helps if some of them do the commentary with me.:D

Big Show, Gretchen..
..MST3K rules the world, my alltime favorite was Space Mutiny
MOVE..MOVE...MOVE...MOVE
But onto things that are annoying during horror movies:
this is a true story i swear, and remeber this
certain things are probably only annoying in the theatre, years ago i worked at a theatre, when i was in High School, and we had the Stephen King movie Thinner. I was doing the theatre walks, just walking the aisles making sure everything is aiight, and i swear in the second row on the left side the only 2 people in the theatre, a like, 60 something year old couple was doing it..
I will never forget the site of his old wrinkly ass going up and down, shining in the movie light...to this day when i see the movie Thinner, i cant help but be reminded of the old sex fiends..so remember, when your old, have sex all you want but NOT in the theatre i work in when i was in high school

Same here.
There is nothing funnier than watching a movie with my dad, my uncle, and I. We were watching Maximum Overdrive one day and we were making my aunt roll her eyes every 2 minutes by our comments.
The reason my uncle's mst3k commentary is so funny is because of his deadpan voice.

i pretty much do the same. Depending on the movie, we'll either do running commentary or point out goofs or parts we hate/like. Sometimes we'll run the dialogue or act out scenes to crack ourselves up. A good time is had by all.

I'll tell my friends useless trivia that they probably couldn't care less about... and often I check what I type for easy-to-spot grammatical mistakes.
But that's just me.

Everyone from my horror movie night group has a "thing" that they've come up with from some movie and will use during another movie. For example, when we were watching "Wolfen" one evening, one of the HMN members let out a deep grumble "WOOOOOOOOLFEN" when a character asked a question in the film. It was freakin' hilarious (in a had to be there way). Now, he uses that line at least once in every movie we watch (usually when a character asks a stupid question and there is a long pause). Everybody has at least 1 they use during every movie. It keeps things interesting as 90% of the movies we watch are pretty bad and NEED some beefing up by the crew. It can be annoying for those just visiting horror movie night.

I'm my own worst enemy. If I'm trying to introduce a girlfriend to my horror collection (i.e show her ALL the FRIDAY THE 13th series) I'll get so far into the film before trying to fuck her and end up missing the second half of the film. So then, when we move on sequel after sequel they can never remember what happened!!!

I definitely do the MST3K thing with my friends and brother, it so much fun, and the fact at laughing out loud at the most god-awful scenes in some movies

nice to know there are so many schomes out there carrying on the satellite of love tradition (keep circulating the tapes!).
i thought of something else i do if i'm watching a movie i've never seen before and i find it to be truly scary. if i'm in a theatre, i will not put my feet on the floor. i'll sit on my legs, sit criss-cross-applesauce (can you tell i work with children?), put my legs up, etc. if i'm at home, i have be sitting on a chair or couch that's against a wall with no chance of anyone coming up behind me.

I usually just sit back with friends and nit pick the hell out of whatever we're watching.

I usually start cracking up, when some character get's hacked in some awful way. It amsuses me for some reason...;):D
Also, when watching films with friends, I like to give trivia throughout the film. I'm like "And there's the guy that..." and "Do you know...". Yeah, I know I'm cool.

if im watching a film on my own ill do things what some may find annoying such as cheer when someone gets dispatched in a violent bloody way or comment on something or do a commentary if it is bad
if im watching a film with others though i dont say or do anything, it pisses me off when people do it so i dont do it to them (part of the reason i dont watch films with my brother, the little fucker talkes alllll the way through)
if im with a couple of friends and we're watching a bad film (like Final Destination 2) we'll all do a commentary and take the piss out of it

I'll MST3K out, or fart, or throw stuff, or point out bad stuff, or tell movie trivia, or talk about that one time at band camp, or chant "We're gonna git you, we're gonna git you, not another peep, time to go to sleep", or whatever comes to mind
