Great flick, but it was a little hard to watch.. I really appreciated it being completely dialogue driven. The two angry leads played PERFECTLY off of each other.. even if I couldn't understand a fucking THING Adjani was saying.


either way, some questions... MUUUCHO SPOILERS!

- the Telephone calls in the beginning! Were they from Heimlich, or "the other guy"?? Cause they seemed almost threatening and I doubt Heimlich would do that..

I figured the affair with "The other guy" started after Sam Neill found out about the initial affar - it being a sort of manifestation of her guilt. You know, after the scene where she leaves for the first time and walks through the subway and bleeds out of her woman-y parts.??

- The schoolteacher.. what's the deal?! My only guess would be that she actually WAS Anna (Isabelle Adjani), who came home in a wig, etc., pretending to be healed, or a different person???

Oh..! I watched the 82 minute print and the pacing seemed wicked, the violence was intact.. it felt pretty cohesive.. anyone see the uncut and should I track it down?!?

Yeah Possession was cool. I like Sam Neill plus this was a video nasty banned in the UK. I think it's vague on purpose because we are supposed to be wondering, as Neill does, what the hell is going on! Gotta love the effects though! When I saw who she was actually sleeping with I was like "No f*cking way!"
